1  Re: " I can't wait till fall" swap gallery! in The Swap Gallery by insane_aktor on: October 11, 2009 12:06:15 AM
I'm finally home from a week of traveling, and I'm so happy to finally post!  I am beyond stoked with what I got...

Guh! i'm in love with this! She said she made this as a lapghan, for southern california weather...it's taller than I am...(I'm not even 5 feet tall though....) the work is beautiful! I'm just getting back into crochet, I so this is perfect! i've already started using it, since I sleep in a really drafty room, having the extra warmth is awesome!

beautiful picture frame...not sure what's going to go in here...may put something like my cousin's halloween picture in it...or if i get a good fall picture i'll stick it in here....hmmmmm, but I love putting pictures up, so it's awesome!

lurvley book mark, great colors and nice stitching!! completely awesome, since i've started using the public library once again, so having a book mark is key so i don't bend the pages!

a brown skull, a foam jack-o-lantern with a candle and some halloween cut outs that I'm going to paint in..I already have black and white, but I'll need purple, orange and some green at least....excited!!

OHMIFREAKINGGOD! the most awesome smelling things in the world! there was the hot apple cider scent sachet that I have displayed in my room so it doesn't smell so much like mod podge, then pumpkin spice cookie mix with icing and pumpkin bars with a cream cheese top layer...I'm waiting for the perfect occasion to make these, but I'm not sure if I want to share or not! I'm so excited about all the wonderful things I got

Thanks Ffrogg526!!!!!!!!!

Yay! home after a week of traveling, very relieved to be home, in jammies and checking on the things here. I got some awesome stuff from ::lovesclutter::!

Amy Lee:

I love her so much! she watches me while I do my school work and crafting!

close up of her face.  I adore her dress, want to make a life size replica for myself for some reason...;]

an accompanying cigarette purse with satin hands in it.  I ADORE satin hands, my aunt sells Mary Kay, and though I don't really like their make up, I swear by satin hands. It's helped with my cuticles and I use it on my heels which get really dry and they've clear up...::love::

and a wonderful The Doors wall clock.  I love having clocks around since i'm usually running a little late most of the time, having this will definitely help! I always love getting clocks, I practically collect the old style alarm clocks ^.^

and just for sh*ts and giggles--the box it all came in...the front says "Get^make it on Ebay^craftster.org ship it with USPS" and on the back it says:

thank you so much! I hope you enjoy everything I send as much as I enjoy all my lovely crafties!

3  Re: Yet Another Tattoo Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by insane_aktor on: September 26, 2009 05:52:49 PM
I'm so glad you got everything okay!  I got your package yesterday but haven't been online until now!  I'm so blown away!  I love it all!

I was so excited that I actually waited to go to disneyland to open my package, and took some of it with me! First a shot of everyting:

the sunglass case and air freshener (lemon scent [how'd you know I needed a new one?!])

the case is decoupaged with beautiful Japanese dragons and the air freshener is ed hardy and says love kills slowly, I almost made her a key chain with that on it too. . .hmmm

I was so blown away from this!!  it's so beautifully done, i love it: an alice in wonderland inspired t-shirt to go along with my tattoo when it's finished.

sorry about the flash, it was the best way to get a picture of the shirt with it on.. .and I'm wearing the tattoo sleeve to show it off as well.

these wonderful dial soaps with the tattoo inspiration THEY'RE SOOOOOO COOL!!!

I wonder how the images are on there???

and a trinket box full of goodies!

the box folds out so that each little box is it's own level, going up diagonally.  It's sitting on my bedside table now. the top was filled with the hand embroidered heart (which is a pattern i was contemplating getting tattooed on me a while back, my tramp stamp is the wings from that website!) which has a little handle, i think it's going to go on my craft bins when they're finally organized. next were the two skulls.  one has a crescent moon and angel wing on it and the other has a lightning and blue star mohawk and a yin-yang under it's chin.  very cool!  then the third box had a whole bunch of temp tattoos that were pretty darn neat and the last cubbie had a very realistic and life size replica of my first tattoo, a rainbow coming out of a black storm cloud.

thank you for the amazing swap cxcaitlyn!!

THE LION!!
She crocheted a Lion...'nuff said.  he also immediately went on the bed and sleeps with me nightly...

BUT WAIT!!

there was a lamb to match my lion, so the lion can fall in love with the lamb and be masochistic Cheesy (i truly squeed when i saw this, and actually scared my mom).

THE HEADSCARF
a really cool crocheted headscarf!  it's awesome!!

THE EC BOOK COVER
i had been meaning to make myself a book cover for a long time, since i read TONS of books, all the time, and i hate them rattling around in my purse un-protected.  plus it's made out of the same lamb fabric Cheesy .  and it's got EC on it in rhinestones Cheesy

THE GOODIE BAG
this little bag of goodies was awesome!  i saw it and thought it was a  really cute bag on its own...then i opened it up!!  there's earrings and a pin, heart and lock charms and an apple  eeee!!!

and the earrings have little apples on them!! i'd model them for ya but i have gauged ears right now, but i will eventually put them in my second holes when those heal...Cheesy!!

THE JOURNAL
this is a sweet little journal that she gave me, and i think i may use it to track my food, and such so that i'll always have it with me Cheesy

THE GAUNTLETS
these are awesome!  I'm just waiting for it to be cold again here so i can wear them while i'm knitting blankets and such.  I may even take them on their first visit to disneyland!

10  skirts in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by insane_aktor on: February 27, 2008 03:10:19 PM
this is probably the third or fourth time i've attempted to post these. . .my computer has been hating me a little... Cry

so  here i have two different skirts for you
First:

this is probably my favorite pattern for skirts.  they're nice and flowy and turn out so cute.  the only problem i have with them is hemming the waistband and the skirt bottom because they're curved so it's a constant battle to get the hem right. . .(so with these, i tend to take bias tape or ribbon or lace and just sew it surrounding the hem.  easier, most definately)

and Second:

different pattern, and outcome.  i think i need to go to joanns and find something i can use as a really easy waistband. . .because just hemming stuff and drawstrings aren't going to cut it. . . Undecided

i made a third skirt but don't have pictures of it yet, with plain black fabric on one side, and black with multi-colored hearts on the other.  it's really cute, and in the same pattern of the first skirt.

((thanks for looking))
