1  Re: Journal Cover Swap--GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by love2teach on: November 01, 2011 05:29:20 PM
A shout out to susanab!  I got an amazing package on Saturday, but I was busy celebrating the St. Louis Cardinals winning the World Series, so I am a little late in posting pictures.  Sorry susanab.  For those of you who are the non-geeky type the symbol on the front is a Stop Sine (a mathematical function in trigonometry)!  I teach HS math and science and the journal is for keeping observations of the students in my classroom, so it is perfect!  The mug rug has the chemical formula for caffeine on it!

With no further ado...pictures

Thank you susanab!  You are an amazing partner!  love2teach

I received my package from Eclectic Dreamer today Smiley  It is absolutely amazing.  I love the colors and can't wait to put it to good use in my classroom.

Here's a picture of the whole package:

I got my package from mistressH yesterday afternoon.  It was a welcomed diversion from a week of teacher meetings at my new school.  FYI, the hanging pouch is a rat hammock.  mistressH runs a rat rescue and I am the proud owner of 5 rats.  Everything is awesome Smiley  I love to do sewing for dolls and needlework and the tote is the perfect size for holding a project.  As soon as my newest rat Beeker is over his upper respiratory infection and I am able to introduce him to the crew, I will post a action picture.  Thank you so much for everything, mistressH!  It was perfect.

Sorry I kind of went MIA for a while.  I'm not sure what's been going on with my computer/internet, but I've really had trouble connecting with the Craftster server.  I received an awesome package from ariaya.  I love my little tote and I've been using it to carry small projects I've been working on.  I love the yarn.  I received a book on crocheting socks for my birthday and the yarn is perfect for that.

Here's my loot.  Thank you ariaya for being such an awesome partner Smiley

You're apparently right. There was no M. Sad I tripled check all the wrappings (it was bright yellow so at least easy to find!)

Sorry the "M" never made it into the box.  It went out Priority Mail this morning.  It should arrive on Tuesday.  Sorry Sad  Here are the pictures of the awesome package BioformCallie sent to me.

A dotted tote just the perfect size for my netbook and and materials for when I tutor at the library.

Something hard-a light up crochet hook and something funny-a book of knock knock jokes

Sender's choice--soft, beautiful bamboo yarn, something green-turtle tape measure, something starting with "M"-stitch markers, something local-an Orlando magnet

Something recycled-scrubbies made of reclaimed yarn

Thank you so very much Smiley  I love everything.  love2teach

I received my package from sinellia today Smiley  Pictures do not do it justice.  The purse is made of a soft, silky gray corduroy.  The inside is very roomy and has lots of individual pockets.  Perfect for carrying my projects with me.  I love, love, love it Grin
I also got a yarn cozy, a crochet hook, mints, chocolate and a chapstick holder!  Thank you so much! I feel so spoiled!

10  Re: 2010 200 Crochet Blocks CAL in Crochetalongs by love2teach on: January 02, 2011 08:32:38 PM
Sorry guys...I didn't drop off the face of the earth.  I'm not sure where are my time is going, but I just don't seem to have a whole lot of extra time lately.  I finished the three afghans from this CAL for Christmas.  I never finished the squares for the 12" CAL...I got lost somewhere around July.

Here are the pictures of the three afghans from this CAL.  The lavender one was given to one of my nieces and I made two of the blue/brown ones.  One was for my other nice and the other was for a friend.

As far as weaving the ends, I do that as I am making the squares.  I concur that I would gladly pay someone to join them together.  When I am at that point, the project is less portable and harder for me to find time to finish.
