11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Black Bow Purse on: July 22, 2010 08:04:32 PM
I cut a length to stretch across the front then tied the "bow" separately when everything else was done. The Phoebe bag maybe the one that I used- I just can't remember the name.

Try it and post a picture; I'd love to see what you come up with:)

Thanks! I added the polka dots to lighten it up a bit. The black was too serious!!!
13  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Monkey Fist Key Chain on: July 22, 2010 07:54:54 AM
My son is in scouting and really like tying knots. He recently learned how to make monkey fists and decided at the end of a key chain was the best place to put one.

He also made a cobra stitch belt. I'll post pictures of that soon. It is pretty awesome!!!
14  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Black Bow Purse on: July 22, 2010 07:48:15 AM
I made this bag earlier this week. I used a tutorial found online for the base of the bag and went from there for the rest. I really like it!! The outside is made with black linen and the inside is black and white polka dot.

What do you think?

Your wallets look very nice!;) I make them too and have a question for you. Do you think that the decorative stitching down the inside center helps with the folding? Or is it just for looks?
