1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Where do you get fabric like this? on: October 03, 2014 12:55:28 AM
I can't find any website/online stores that have funky bold stretch knit fabrics similar to this.  Any suggestions?  https://www.etsy.com/nz/listing/94363372/rainbow-after-the-rain-cotton-single?ref=shop_home_active_19

Your little garden is absolutely amazing!  Would you mind if I shared it with my followers on my Facebook page?  https://www.facebook.com/Awaywiththefairiesgardens
I love to share ideas and inspiration relating to little gardens of all types.  It is too cute not to share!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: First ever pair of socks! on: May 22, 2013 10:43:38 PM
Wow, well done.  I have just finished the first sock of a pair using this free patternhttp://www.bevscountrycottage.com/quicksocks.html  (tube sock - so easy!) and am sure I'm becoming addicted to them now!  I love the colors in your socks.
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Fairy garden questions on: May 22, 2013 10:09:56 PM
I am currently making items for the fairy garden I'm making around this tree in our forest

I did a search here but couldn't find any relevant info on fairy gardens other than pics of some lovely gardens.  I would like to see what others have made for their gardens as well.  So far I have made clay mushrooms, a wheelbarrow, mailbox, birdhouse and rope ladder.  I currently have some tiny stepping stones and hopscotch tiles (clay) drying as well.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Is it possible to resize this pattern? on: May 01, 2013 04:35:11 PM
Thanks so much Sue.  I'm definitely going to try it now that you've given me a confidence boost!

Very cute.  I'm in the middle of making things for a fairy garden too so will post pics when it's finished.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Easy fleece slippers for toddler on: April 29, 2013 10:49:17 PM
I made these for my 2 1/2 year old grandson today, using the free pattern from Tricia here:   http://leafytreetopspot.blogspot.co.nz/2011/01/fleece-toddler-slippers-tutorial-and.html
I had to make them quite a lot bigger and also zigzagged over all the seams (don't have an overlocker or serger).  Now all the family wants them!
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Is it possible to resize this pattern? on: April 29, 2013 03:59:35 AM
I would love to make this for my 2 1/2 year old grandson, but the pattern is only up to size 6 months.  Is it possible to resize such a pattern?  If not, could anyone recommend a similar (preferably free!) pattern suitable for a 2-3 year old, the simpler the better.  I'm a basic knitter and would not attempt anything complicated!  I hope there's an expert out there who could help me out here.  Thanks very much.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my thread.  You raised a number of issues that I had not thought of before, and I will now re-think my approach.  I really appreciate your input.
