1  Fairy garden questions in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions by elowezil on: May 22, 2013 10:09:56 PM
I am currently making items for the fairy garden I'm making around this tree in our forest

I did a search here but couldn't find any relevant info on fairy gardens other than pics of some lovely gardens.  I would like to see what others have made for their gardens as well.  So far I have made clay mushrooms, a wheelbarrow, mailbox, birdhouse and rope ladder.  I currently have some tiny stepping stones and hopscotch tiles (clay) drying as well.

2  Easy fleece slippers for toddler in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by elowezil on: April 29, 2013 10:49:17 PM
I made these for my 2 1/2 year old grandson today, using the free pattern from Tricia here:   http://leafytreetopspot.blogspot.co.nz/2011/01/fleece-toddler-slippers-tutorial-and.html
I had to make them quite a lot bigger and also zigzagged over all the seams (don't have an overlocker or serger).  Now all the family wants them!

3  Is it possible to resize this pattern? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by elowezil on: April 29, 2013 03:59:35 AM
I would love to make this for my 2 1/2 year old grandson, but the pattern is only up to size 6 months.  Is it possible to resize such a pattern?  If not, could anyone recommend a similar (preferably free!) pattern suitable for a 2-3 year old, the simpler the better.  I'm a basic knitter and would not attempt anything complicated!  I hope there's an expert out there who could help me out here.  Thanks very much.

4  Owls in a box in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by elowezil on: April 11, 2013 02:26:45 AM
This little family of owls is for a 3 year old we know who is going to have extensive medical tests in the coming weeks.  He loves owls so I thought he would like to have company while he's sitting in Dr's offices and hospital waiting rooms.  The box is slightly bigger than a matchbox.

5  I spy bottle in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by elowezil on: April 05, 2013 09:55:28 PM
As a non-chocolate/candy Easter gift for my 2 year old grandson, I made this, with inspiration from a blog I forgot to bookmark so can't give credit, sorry.
It was a great success with both kids and adults and I've had orders for 3 more already!

Gift just finished.  Hope the parents of the baby have a sense of humour!  Bought onesie and appliqued face.  Pants are Made By Rae big butt baby pants pattern (wonderful pattern - I use it often) with the face appliqued on the 'butt' panel.

8  Gift for sewing/quilting friend in Completed Projects by elowezil on: December 05, 2012 12:54:14 PM
I am making these for gifts.  Easy printing on fabric tutorial: http://www.polishthestars.com/2010/08/how-to-print-on-fabric.html  I used free keypad clip art and free font.  Measures approx 5" x 3 1/2".  Stuffed with the remnants of an old cushion.  Could have Velcro or a magnet added on the back and stuck to a sewing machine.  I'm so pleased with the result!

9  Felt scraps and random bead necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by elowezil on: October 21, 2011 01:19:08 PM

I didn't have a big enough selection to make a chunky odd bead necklace so cut some small felt squares to fill the gaps.  Whaddaya think?

10  Chunky French/spool knitted necklaces x 3 in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by elowezil on: October 20, 2011 03:05:43 PM
I find doing French/spool knitting very relaxing.  Here are 3 necklaces I've made rececently and I have lots of plans for more color combinations.  They're great to wear with Tshirts and linen shirts and tunics (even if the look is a bit 60's! LOL).
