I'm looking at the Hello Kitty Sewing Machine - Green (11706). It's a 3/4 size machine and reviewers say it's the same as Janome Harmony 1017. It looks simple, but I'm a true beginner. Should I go with this one? It has a lot of great reviews, but I'm wondering if I need something a little sturdier and more versitile. I'd rather not have to buy another one in a year or two.
Oh, and to explain the topic name, I'm asking for it on my wedding registry http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html?asin=B000B8WSJ2&colid=CUJ0MTPT5ETY&coliid=I2XX9OC5CQD17Z&bckreg=wedd
What would you guys reccomend for a first machine??
ETA: looking around in the forums and then on Amazon, I just found this on sale Brother CS6000I 60-Stitch Computerized Free-Arm Sewing Machine with Multiple Stitch Functions. It looks so complicated!! But at the same time, that's just another way of saying room to grow, right?http://www.amazon.com/Brother-CS6000I-60-Stitch-Computerized-Functions/dp/B000JQM1DE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1267453461&sr=8-2
ETA: I went with the Brother Machine.
