1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Zines! on: October 18, 2004 09:47:49 AM
I'm planning on starting a zine called Le Consequenze. It's going to be mainly based around:: life as a teenager, creating dreams for ourselves, going through certain traumas, life drawings, religion, coping with illness etc.

I'd really really love you guys help! As I know all of us here are budding artists . I'd love some ideas, possibly submissions for the zine? I'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas on this folks. So who wants to help? If you can't write then you have something very interesting to tell me don't hesistate to add me! I'm sure we can work something out.

Art and photography is of course very very welcome, although this is going to be a premature and basic zine as the only experience I have is my zine obsessed boyfriend whos encouraged me to go ahead with this. Therefore this means everything must be in black and white!

Thanks. If you would love to help me out (please) then comment//leave me a pm//or contact me on my msn or aim!

3  COOKING / Dessert / Chocolate sandwich coated cookies on: September 19, 2004 09:50:51 AM
Okay so I had to make this for my gcse food tech project and its higly addictive although you can't eat a lot at once  Angry.

So:::

Simply start off with a basic cookie recipe like this:

Ingrediants for cookies:

150gms of self-rasing flour
75gms of caster sugar
75gms butter
1/2 a large beaten egg
pinch of salt

Method::

1. Rub the butter into the flour and sugar until the mixture resembles bread crumbs

2. Stir in the beaten egg using a round bladed knife and draw the mixture together into a ball.

3. Roll out the mixture onto a floured surface and using a cutter cut into biscuits

4. Gently lift cookies onto a greased baking tray leaving space for spreading

5. Bake at 180 C, gas mark 4 for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown

6. Transfer onto a wire rack and cool

- The next step is the filling between the biscuits -

Ingrediants::

150gms of icing sugar
3 spoonfuls of cocoa powder
75 gms of butter
-----
COATING : 200gms of Chocolate

Basically just chuck them all in together and mix until they make a soft icing filling

Once the cookies are cooled spread it in between the cookies and sandwich them together

Then melt the chocolate in a bowl thats in a pan over the cooker and spread it all over the cookies...

And voila, they are seriously delicious, sorry about the babyish recipe I blame my f.t teacher Smiley

SO I made a bag last night, it's the first bag I ever made it started off as a t-shirt, then went to a boob tube then I got mad and painted on death cab for a cutie and then I decided I needed a new bag. So basically it just needs handles now, but I need to get some idea on how long or short, and what you think will look good heres the bag::: (ignore the crappy deathcab bit I'm working on it)

so help me if you can!! Cheesy
Thanks

5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Who likes Modest Mouse? on: September 18, 2004 04:41:08 PM
So I made my boyfriend a shirt because he asked me too, it was all a bit of a surprise he didn't know what it was gonna be, it was a kind of welcome home from you two week vacation present really. Anyways hes a huge modest mouse fan so I made him a modest mouse tee::::

Modelled by moi Smiley I also wrote along the back (wont post a picture my ass looks huge hahaha) 'we were looking at the stars...' with a few stars drawn around it. I wanted to keep it for myself as its SUPER soft and nice but yeah anyway ENJOY.

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Discussion and Questions / My Scrapbook - It's Not A Fashion Statement on: September 18, 2004 12:55:10 PM
So I just started a scrap book this summer..things have slowed down a little to adding it because I have been back at school and stuff but I just wanted to know some ideas to add to my scrapbook, it's black and white themed its all hand done mainly cut and paste and mainly about memories and people close to me. I have done little memoirs and somethings that my friends have written and pictures I have taken of them but do you think you could give me some ideas of things I could add to it?

All ideas welcome Smiley

7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / 10 Million Things I Love About You on: September 18, 2004 12:43:51 PM
So, my boyfriend and I decided to write a list of all the things we love about each other, yes a little soppy but I thought it was an adorable idea. So basically I decided to make it look slightly arty as he is hideously arty and creative himself it's nothing amazing but I wanted to show them off Smiley :::

Thats the first of the three pages I know theres a few spelling mistakes I corrected them after I scanned it

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v475/lististslists/scan3.jpg

That's the second of the three pages, also a few spelling mistakes and stuff but I love the autumn theme that it seems to have.

The third I didn't manage to scan as my scanner started to play up but yeah I hope you like I think they are really cute so my artisticness isn't amazing..any ideas that wont make it too over the top?
