2  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery June 2008 in The Swap Gallery by rossana9041 on: June 10, 2008 09:08:15 AM
I did a personal swap with missmoppet and she sent me the most beautiful pendants and bookmark.  I requested a seaside theme, she made these for me!  My daughter swiped the one with the green beads already, so i will be tying some hemp onto the larger one for myself.  LOVE IT!

I got a wonderful package from defunctbuffalo who claimed me for ATC's and picture frames.  Plus i got postcards from some places she visited, my favorite collection.  And such a pretty notecard to boot.  But the real star has to be the quilled frames....

5  half apron in Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects by rossana9041 on: June 02, 2008 08:43:38 AM
I made myself a test apron this week.  I want to make one for a camping trip in July, but I needed to know how.  So I cut and sewed and this is what I got.
Any good tutes on sewing on the ruffle?  I tacked it in between the gathers but this doesn't look real secure.
I will also add pockets to the camping one.  The ties are like 4.5 ft long to wrap around my "spare tire".  Noone home to photo on me, so modeled by my chair.  (Again, I am a handsewer.  that's why it took all week.)

What do you think?

Here's my owl.  From Aunt Martha picked up at Wal*** for 55c.  (I hate that they are closing the crafts!)  I'm not sure I like the colors, but maybe I just need to fill them in more...

And I love the chain stitch, but should it be tighter?

Comments welcome!

7  name that plant in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions by rossana9041 on: May 30, 2008 02:00:48 PM
We moved and inherited a front deck surrounded by this plant.  What is it?  Do I want to keep it?

I know nothing about plants and gardening, but would love to have some veggies if it isn't too late for anything this far south.  We are in South Carolina by the way.

All comments and suggestions welcome!

Here is the fantastic package I received from Mimiw.  I wanted to start embroidery since it is so much more portable than quilting...I will be busy for a year!!!!  Thank you so much, this is just the most awesome start!

I'm so new to this craft I don't even know if I used the proper names.  I can't believe the variety here.  I know what I will be taking on my holiday!
Thank you again, Beth

I rec'd today...from Avesthel - who claimed me for coin purses for her and the kiddos, earrings and a pendant

It was a super package,  Every single thing fits us perfectly!

The print goes right with my kitchen, the fabric coin purses are spot on for color, and she gave me the extra for piecing!  I put the pendant on immediately after snapping this, and my daughter snatched her things and disappeared into her room "to do some work".  This was a perfect box, thank you again!
