1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Back to Nature Swap Gallery on: June 06, 2008 03:03:21 PM
I received from the wonderful AeonGoddess but was out of town on a family emergency again (the second time in as many weeks). She posted pictures earlier so I assume everyone already looked at the beautiful stuff she sent me. I am in love with everything. The bag is A-mazing. I love science and nature so the embroidery is a perfect mesh of the two. The resin pendants are perfect and very impressive for a first try!! The tea is delish (I finally got to try it Aeon) and I can't wait to try the honey! It's funny how I didn't even think of using the little bag holding the jewelery as a dice bag but it is much prettier than my little plastic baggie I've been using.

Thanks so much again Aeon!

Everyones items are so beautiful and I just love everything posted!

Plus when you are working on something it will be so handy to just check the journal for what the options are.  Thanks for sharing!!!

I totally forgot about that aspect but I use it all the time that way since it takes forever to actually look through the stamps.

i love the fabric on the cover!

It's actually not fabric it's paper! I think it's Making Memories brand but I could be wrong!

I realized a few years ago that I was buying the same stamps over and over again. So I decided that I needed to have some kind of tracking system so that I could stop buying repeats. Then came along the idea for my portable stamp journal. Every time I buy a new stamp I stamp it in the book and also label the stamp itself depending on what series/company the stamp is from!

I basically cut chipboard/cardstock to size, punched holes with my crop-a-dile, and then added fun ribbon.

Now when I'm going to the craft store, or pretty much all the time when I go out, I throw the book in my purse so I can figure out if the stamps I want to buy are ones I have already.

And the handles on the bag are pleather-type-stuff.  Definitely not real leather!  They weigh a ton more than the actual bag, but they're sturdy and comfy (I have a bag like this for myself)!

Thanks for correcting me!! I really had no idea what they were made of but I love them either way!!

I found this post http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=226651.0 and thought it was such a wonderful idea that I had to make my own for the hubby. I gave it to him for Valentine's Day (I know I am a slow poster!!)

I used chipboard cut to the shape of a deck of cards we got in Vegas on our honeymoon. I then covered the chipboard in different patterened papers and then used my crop-a-dile to punch holes in the chipboard covers and through all 52 cards. I then tied them together with matching ribbons and applied quotes to the front and back covers.

I received a wonderful package from Kimberly Pye yesterday. She included a patchwork pillow, a grocery bag with leather (I think) handles, a trader joe's chocolate bar which was swiftly eaten by myself and the hubby, and 2 vegan dessert recipes that I am dying to try!

Thanks again Kimberly Pye!!

Love the acryonm and I will definately grab you when I can catch you! I have all kinds of stuff to do guy and kid cards cause there's only guys on my hubby's side of the family and 10 kids on my side!!
