Sorry im late (again), i had to hunt down some slugs in my garden before i could finish it!

Hi Pinksparklystars, i only just got here too so just jump in at the deep end and grab the nearest flotation device!  Wink

Graverobbergirl- i love that Vindictive Vapour Vanquisher (patent pending) and i love the character herself, but she could use some pattern or darkness to her jacket to set her apart from her background. maybe some lovely old fabric pattern like this...

Anywhooo, heres my contributiony...

the text reads - The Slugs Shall Enherit the Earth. (and the cockroaches of course)

It looks better in person, the indian ink on top of the acrylic paint is too shiney to be papparazzied. It was quite funny actually, the slug that was modelling for me kept going after my ink bottles and nibbling on my fingers, little scamp!  Cheesy (and yes i do realise i misspelled enherit, but i was tired and a slug was trying to eat my finger.
42  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: knitted walls? on: August 23, 2008 03:12:50 PM
i know! just looking at it again i realised that the lights are suspended by the same yarn on the walls, how cool is that??
43  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: Altered Journal-a-long on: August 23, 2008 03:10:34 PM
yeah its shredded newsprint, i started off using the shredder but it didnt shred it finely enough so i had to cut each line individually (gotta leetle bit obsessed Wink). i wanted to use shredded weather reports but i like how grey the newsprint was for the driving rain.

Thanks for the info about the word list, now i know i can let loose!

heres my page for this week, i used the word rain.

i like the idea, but i think it looked better in my head  Undecided
One other thing, im a bit confused about the words pickd, i thought the theme for last week was rain/feelings but a lot of people used automatons, apples etc. Do you generally go freestyle for themes and go to the weekly theme if you're out of ideas?
45  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / knitted walls? on: August 23, 2008 09:20:24 AM
Now im not a knitter but when i saw that a designer had knitted the walls to a london club, i knew it was too cool not to share!!  Cool

47  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: duckpin bowling balls on: August 21, 2008 04:46:53 PM

although i dont know if it would work on those type of balls...
