woohoo! The dog button broach lives!!

I cut off a little bit of chain and used it to attach the button to the broach. Then I folded a foil sweet wrapper to use to back the letters so they would fit, stuck the letters and foil on and voila! a little dog broach to show off my adorable puppy! Cheesy

Of course now I have to make one for my other dog so she doesn't feel left out. Damn, a buttoners work is never done...

I'm trying to make it into a broach. I have these blank broach attachments somewhere in my room. but i want to embellish it somehow, i really wanted to put his name (the dogs- Milo) in beads but its just slightly too big. Cry I'll update when I make up my mind!

It's a bit on the random side in what you get but I go here:
http://www.mantofev.com/miscemb4.html(This is from badluck,on the steampunk thread-the quote didn't catch that)

I just ordered a small tub-90 or so pieces-of watch parts from them this morning.Don't know what it'll be like, and it's the first time I've bought from this site. But I figured if another craftster reccomended them,I could give it a whirl. The website is definitely worth a look.Hope that helps.

Great website Bookstorebabe! Ive been wanting to use gears and stuff for a while but couldnt find any. This looks promising...

I bought this jar a while ago of loads of beads and buttons and this button was so cute I had to use it for something...

so I ripped out the gem (this ugly green thingy) and put in one of those tiny pictures from the sheet of em that you get when you send a bunch of photos to be developed.

Sorry 'bout the crappy pics, my camera is being senile and refusing to focus Cry

***EDIT TIME!***I made my button into a broach!

I really like how it turned out, I cant stop wearing it!!

130  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Sock Squid! on: February 26, 2008 03:20:41 PM
O thank all the gods of crafting! Cheesy

My freind has recently gotten obsessed with squid plushies (i don't think even she knows why...) and ive been trying to find a pattern I could do; the tentacles were the part that tripped me up, she wants a small and cute one so the tentacles have to be even smaller. but using socks? ready made tubes just waiting to become tentacles!
Thank yooouuuu...
*disappearing into the distance to hunt for socks*
