1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: showing off amazing gifts! on: August 13, 2008 10:04:18 AM
That's amazing. Are you lying to us? A fourteen year old who never did anything with polymer clay made those? I'm impressed.
2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / Where To Find Things To Recycle / Re: Excuse me?!?! Dumpster Diving on: August 07, 2008 09:11:00 AM
My mother is a housekeeper and she went around the neighborhood she works in once looking for coupons. (Actually, she did this on many of occasions.) Eventually some old man yelled at her for going through his recycling bin and called security on her.

Fortunately, security knew her very well and let her off the hook, but she can't do it again. (But she works for enough people to steal their coupons off of them. Lol.)

I can see why maybe going through the recycling bin may be kind of pushing it, but hypothetically, once you put your garbage can to the corner it's public property (or so my father has told me).

I still have 8 minutes to go until I can take my whitening trays out. >_<

LMAO. I thought you had 15 minutes to go until your lunch break or something. Never thought it was cause of whitening trips. Tongue
Hehe. Nope. I'm an unemployed student. So I can eat whenever I can get these trays out.

7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Handkerchiefs? >.< on: June 06, 2008 04:27:33 PM

THATS SO COOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! Not sure I'd want something meant for nose blowing down there though. Although I have never seen my grandmother use one (She's a tissue girl all the way) I worry that perhaps back in the day she was more of a hankie fan. Oh well, some heavy duty washing, and that would be perfect. ^.^
I know. Smiley I've been wanting to try this for a really long time now, but I lack hankies. lol. Thrift store shopping time. Smiley

I'm fifteen and I still haven't grown out of Disney.  Grin

You can make jewelry out of monopoly pieces. I've seen some examples around here somewhere, just do a little bit of searching.

I've also seen people melt down the mardi gras beads into stuff. Again, research it, I've never really tried it out to advise you on how to do it (without burning something down...)

I store my perler beads in pill bottles now. I got tired of sorting the colors out when I wanted to make something, so I just took them all and sorted them all out. (Okay, I'm not finished yet, but that's because I have 7,000 beads to do!! Lips sealed)

I would totally glue one to a head band or something...

(BTW, you techies are the bombage. Wink)
