Thank you so much for your help!!

I think that I'm going to just keep on going with the size six needles, and see what happens.

Or maybe I'll just continuously knit it and frog it out just to punish myself! It could be my zen!!

Ha Ha!!

Thanks y'all...

Thanks you guys!

Okay, here's what I'm trying: I switched to size 6 needles, and started the back of the sweater again. I wanted a size medium, so I still stuck with that. But, after 40 rows, I spread it out and tried to measure the width (should be 25 inches) and it's not even 20 inches!

What should I do, just start over according to the directions for a size large? In that case should I stick with the size 6 needles?

Arrggh!! Angry

Thank you for the encouragement.

I frogged everything last night, and started over with size 6 instead of size 4 needles. Now I'm getting 5.5 sts per inch like I should.

I will definitely check my gauge throughout the entire project from now on!!

I guess I don't feel so bad starting over. I want it to be perfect, and I want it to come out like it is supposed to. Oh well.

I am so sad. This is my first attempt at a sweater. I checked my gauge before I started, and it was right on.

It is supposed to be 5.5 sts per inch, and I have 7sts per inch.

I guess I'm just a tight knitter. I wonder if I have any other options besides frogging the whole thing.

Why is it that I have to learn all lessons the hard way?
