1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / More soap cupcakes! on: January 08, 2013 07:37:24 PM
This first one looks a bit like a Christmas tree, but that was not what I was going for.  The soap accelerated once I added my fragrance and it became almost impossible to pipe n the "frosting". It is scented with coconut lime verbena and I added a touch of shredded white soap to look like coconut.

This soap was much easy to pipe and the scent is black raspberry vanilla.
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Cold Process Soap Cupcakes! on: January 07, 2013 08:49:21 AM
Last night I whipped up a batch of dark chocolate raspberry cupcake soaps. This was my first time doing this type of soap. I had never piped soap like frosting before, but it was really no different than cake decorating. So fun! I plan to make some more today.  Cheesy
3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Shea butter and silk soaps on: February 18, 2008 05:52:00 PM
I made some soaps yesterday that contained shea butter and silk fibers.  I can't wait to try them!  I have read that silk fibers can make your soap really...well um silky.  Has any one else tried silk fibers in your soaps?  I put a pinch of the silk fibers in the lye solution.  The soaps I made were Vanilla chai tea, Patchouli, and lavender.  I put the lavender in a big round mold and plan to cut it like pie slices.  I saw that done somewhere and it looked so cute.
4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Berries and cream CP soap on: February 17, 2008 08:18:47 PM
I recently made a berries and cream soap that I thought you all might be interested in.  I made it using the cold process method.  Hopefully, the image will post.  This soap is made with coconut oil, olive oil, Castor oil, classic vanilla FO, sweet berries FO, and alkanet root powder for the coloring.  I like how the white portion of the soap is smooth and creamy and the purple part has a nice little scrub to it.

Since I am new here I can not post photos yet, but check the pictures out here:
