that's a really beautiful design, from my experience I would say there's a little too much going on in one area, but like meepmopmoop said, if you take that to an artist they will work with you to refine it and make it into a long lasting tattoo and still retain your original idea. good luck!

yeah it does pretty much say what you want it to, but it isn't well written, I mean...I'm not the best at chinese calligraphy but that's something my mom would comment as "americans trying to write chinese", please don't take this offensively, but it's not well proportioned and  I don't want you to walking into school with this and have someone think it was poorly done. If you wanted I could help you rewrite that out and email you a picture.
