Thinking I could do it not only better but cheaper as well I decided to make it instead. In the end I ended up spending pretty much the same that I could have paid for it, but I love how it turned out.

Front...ignore the pizza box

Front again...with strap
Inside...the most awesome purple shiny calico fabric ever!...I may just have to go back and buy the rest of the bolt
and back...kinda blurry sorry
I had originally wanted to use pleather/vinyl for the back and straps like the original but the I found the stretchy/shiny vinyl-esque in the Halloween fabric clearance and used that instead. I couldn't get a good pic of me wearing it but the strap is kinda long and I may end up shortening it. Overall though I love it!

My shiny new Macbook arrived yesterday and I decided today that it needed a bad ass carrying case. I originally planned on having a fairly plain or geometric type pattern for the outside with a lining fabric with apples on it (Apple...apples get it? haha... lame, I know) but then I saw this awesome skull fabric and a red and black damask-y like fabric and changed my mind. I didn't use a pattern, I just kind of eyeballed it and went for it. I put some fleece interfacing in between layers to give it a little extra padding. It's a little big and roomy but I love how it turned out...and I have enough leftover material for a matching iPod case! yay! Anyway...picture time!
