11  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Cat, Cat, Flower? Beginner.. photography on: July 21, 2008 04:24:02 PM
Sooo I got a camera Christmas before last... it got stolen. The pictures of the cats were taken with it... It was a pretty inexpensive camera.. thought the pictures came out well. I have a new HP Photosmart Camera. Nothing to spiffy. The flower picture was taken with it. I like it.

Does anyone else have a photosmart camera that can tell me how to adjust it to get better pictures, or if anyone knows anything about photography/cameras/digital cameras comment how i can make these better.

12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help! What kind of paint for shirts?!?! on: June 30, 2008 08:26:37 PM
I want to paint on a couple of shirts. I keep hearing people saying they use acrylic paint? What kind of acrylic paint? Do I need to add some sort of medium to this to make it stay on the shirts or not fade or crack? When people say they use acrylic paint I'm thinking it would crack or rub off  Undecided. I might be wrong tho.
13  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / DESK NEEDS SOME MAJOR HELP! on: June 10, 2008 11:41:18 AM
http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/3552/0077145842180215x215lk0.jpg

I have a desk like this. I want to find a way to refinish it, for cheap. It has that laminate/paper crap for the desk top with the plywood type stuff underneath it. Recently from moving and stuff there are rips/tears/scratches in the desk. Kind of looks really trash now. I was wondering if there is a way to refinish this stuff. Desks aren't cheap and I don't feel like spending too much money. Is there a way to paint that stuff without it looking like crap? With what kind of paint? Let me know. :\ I might take some pictures of the actual desk and post them later to help understand a little better.  Undecided
14  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / HELP! I want to redo a dresser! on: June 10, 2008 11:33:46 AM
HELP PLEASE!!!!!! Huh
I have an old dresser that is painted a nasty orangish pink color. My mom has had this dresser since way before I was born. She recently gave it to me but told me NOT to sand it down. What do I do.. put primer over the paint. It also is chipping paint in some places, will this show through the primer and paint? Should i just sand those part down to make it look even then paint with primer, then my color. What kind of paint should I use? Help please!!!

UPDATE WITH PICTURE:

This is my dresser. Nice isn't it....  Embarrassed

This is a small part where the paint is chipping:
