1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Tenby Harbour on: December 17, 2010 01:03:03 PM

This piece took about a month to work on - in between getting other presents made for Christmas !

We lived in the UK for 10 years, and loved to holiday in Tenby, Wales. This was taken from a photo I have of Tenby and inspired by some coasters I bought while there. We are now in Australia - so wanted a reminder of the UK.

I only used split stitch here I think.

Hope you like it !! Oh and sorry it looks so creased I was so excited to have finished that I just took the photo then ans there !

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Pink, party dress ... on: June 21, 2008 12:45:27 PM
My daughter wanted a party dress for a party this afternoon.

I know the dress is a simple set of rectangles - but it is the first time I have had the confidence to make a dress with out a pattern and I like the elastic added in the front...
Anyway my daughter likes it and that is what matters - here she is modelling it .

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Toy pattern help please ! on: May 31, 2008 12:16:54 AM
I am still fairly new at knitting - I am making this doll for a charity  -
http://au.lifestyle.yahoo.com/b/better-homes-gardens/804/little-knitted-dolls/
Hope the link works?
The question is (I am making the first boy doll) do I need to make two and join or do I just make one and join?
I have read and re- read the pattern but I can not see the answer ...
TIA,

5  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hello from Wiltshire, England. on: May 30, 2008 11:24:15 AM
Hello I am new here sitting in my lounge with the sun shining in my window.
I am a crocheter at heart - but have recently taught myself to knit too. My latest obsession is knitting dolls.
I love to sew too and sew a lot of bags / backpacks.
I am a wife to Greg (but he works in Africa so I have a lot of time to do my craft work!) and a mum to two kiddies ....that is enough about me now - hope to find my way around here and take part in swaps soon!!!!
