1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Embroidered Tea Towel swap? on: April 10, 2015 03:58:02 PM
What about the swap where you send a tea towel around to the assigned group? I can't remember what that swap was called and I always wanted to participate. I can't organize it though. Anyone else interested?

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Switching from Knit to Purl on: June 11, 2008 01:44:30 PM
Ahh! I'm about to lose my mind! I'm trying to make a dishcloth (http://joann.lionbrand.com/patterns/kkc-dishCloths.html) and it calls for you to knit 1 and purl 1 and repeat for a while.  I have looked at several websites and in the book I bought to learn to knit to see how to switch from knit to purl and my brain just can't get it!  I'm pretty sure I see how to knit and purl but my confusion is with the moving the yarn from front to back when switching between them.  First, I was going over the needle and ended up with all sorts of extra stitches.  Then I saw something that said move the yarn under the knitting, so now I have this weird long loop that goes under the knitting.

Can anyone tell what I'm doing wrong?  I would really appreciate the help.

Does anyone know where to find pearl snap buttons for a western type shirt?  I've searched all over the place and can't seem to find anything even close!
