I'm getting pretty excited!!  I'm 95% finished with my large and medium.  100% finished with one small and 50% with the other.  That last small is giving me some trouble, but it's probably the geekiest thing I'm making, so I can't drop it for something else.
23  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Switching from Knit to Purl on: June 12, 2008 07:09:06 AM
Thank you, thank you!  That makes sense!  I tried going to knittinghelp.com but the videos wouldn't play at work.  Sad
24  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Switching from Knit to Purl on: June 11, 2008 01:44:30 PM
Ahh! I'm about to lose my mind! I'm trying to make a dishcloth (http://joann.lionbrand.com/patterns/kkc-dishCloths.html) and it calls for you to knit 1 and purl 1 and repeat for a while.  I have looked at several websites and in the book I bought to learn to knit to see how to switch from knit to purl and my brain just can't get it!  I'm pretty sure I see how to knit and purl but my confusion is with the moving the yarn from front to back when switching between them.  First, I was going over the needle and ended up with all sorts of extra stitches.  Then I saw something that said move the yarn under the knitting, so now I have this weird long loop that goes under the knitting.

Can anyone tell what I'm doing wrong?  I would really appreciate the help.

Checkin' in!  I am finished with one small and going to start the other one today.  Half way finished with the medium and also half way finished with the large.  Man, I hate pleats!  hehe  That's sort of a teaser for DarthSqurl.  Grin

Looks great!  This is absolutely my favorite from the craftpad.  You did an excellent job with it.

Yes!  I would also be up for this in July.  My first swap's send out date is June 27th, so I should be good for another one by then.  This one really sounds fun.

I started my large this weekend.  I'm almost half way finished with the medium.  I kind of want to keep them both though!  Smiley
