I made this bun maker for my daughter's dance recital this past weekend.  Her hair was too short to put up into a regular bun so I whipped this up after I decided I was too cheap to spend the $3 on a donut at the beauty supply shop.  I thought other people might like to make some too so I wrote up the pattern and put it on my blog:
