1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / A Frame Tent on: December 29, 2012 11:17:25 AM
So I made this A Frame tent for my two girls 32 months and 10 months for Christmas, it was an absolute hit! I am so impressed with how quickly it came together. There are so many tutorials on this if you google it and I just took two or three and came up with this. I can adjust the width and height if I loosen the bolts on top. I also didn't use my sewing machine at all, I just took a bolt of fabric with a little of 6 yards of fabric and draped it over then stapled it to the bottom pieces. It's also much sturdier than I thought it would be.
C&C appreciated!
Happy new year
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Applique Quilt on: October 24, 2012 04:36:50 PM
I am attempting to make two quilts before Christmas for my daughters. My design is all applique which I have never done in quilting before. One is a forest day themed quilt for Abigail Sunshine and the other is a forest night themed quilt for Penelope Moonbeam. So a huge tree and tons of animals peeking, sun/moon/ stars and all that jazz... I'M SO EXCITED!!!

So my question is what are your favorite techniques? Any advice on whether to use bonding or not? Raw edges stitched or fold under.... I'm lost!
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Accordion Wallet on: October 11, 2012 09:57:01 PM
Inspired from Napkittens pattern. This is for my mother in law and I almost kept it for myself!

It took me a week of frequently interrupted sewing from my 7 month old and 2.5 year old but I triumphed! YAY I am proud. I had a hard time trying to machine stitch the binding for the outside so I hand sewed it and I have raw fingers and I must admit I am not that satisfied but I cannot sit for another hour trying to fix it, my fingers have taken enough abuse for now.
C&C appreciated!

5  Texas / Texas: Central / Looking for fellow craftster's in Austin Texas! on: May 19, 2009 06:14:05 PM
This is a general post for the Austin, Texas area for all craftsters! I am looking for anyone who scrapbooks, crochets, knits, sews, quilts or anything else of the crafty nature. I've been here for 2 years (I hail from Ohio) and unfortunately have yet to meet any one who "crafts". If anyone on here is interested in getting together and crafting let me know! I have trouble staying focused for long periods of time and end up taking wayyyy longer than it should to finish something. I've been sewing for 3 years, knitting and crocheting for 1 and  I just started scrapbooking and quilting about 6 months ago.
Hope to hear from you soon!

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Before & After of New Couch Cushions & Scrap fleece rag rug! on: January 02, 2009 09:20:38 PM
First off I love craftster! I stumbled upon this site looking for information on my vintage machine and spent all day at work completely engrossed in this site.
So I got tired of my old pillows and wanted a new look!
And I had so many fleece scraps from christmas blankets this year I made this little guy
Criticism welcome!
