131  Re: Fill a mug Round 4 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by gerbilgal on: January 07, 2009 04:17:42 PM
I got my wonderful cool package from crosswind today. All I say is WOW! She did a fantastic job for a first time swapper. She went a little overboard but I love them.  Here are the pictures:

This is a "tea purse" with gingerbread spice tea. At the left is a cup cooties catcher (lid for mug)

coasters with rodenty note cards.

Rodenty note cards, wonderful mug with spoon, rodent topped knitting needles, lovely yarn (soft!) The tea purse has a little handle.

This is me modeling my new gerbil carrier. My wonderful little gerbil Trixie wanted to model for me. Isn't that so cool!

Isaw this little bag pictured in the book "Last Minute Knitted Gifts" by Joelle Hoverson. The pattern was was very simple to make. It make a wonderful wrapping for anything small like a jewelry box, handcrafted hat or even some yarn. You get two presents instead of one. First pictures is whiles I was making it. The second one is the completed pouch. Yarn used was Vanna's Choice.

I got into the mood of knitting slippers this week while watching the Olympics. The purple one is being entered into the local fair. Fingers Crossed.

I am always trying different color combinations. Any suggestions for colors? I use mostly Red Heart Worsted Weight. The pattern is a Frugal Haus Slipper pattern from the book "Knitting With Leftover Yarn". Email me offlist if interested in the pattern. Super easy to make!
