6  I am a Fancy Pirate arrrg in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by fromsophia on: January 17, 2009 08:40:13 PM

It is cotton and Chiffon I drafted the pattern myself I know it needs some ironing. It took forever to do the stripes I lined up all the pattern pieces at a 45' angel with the top corners touch so the stripe is continuos but angled. I dont think I will ever wear it out Roll Eyes but I love it so much Smiley. What should I wear it with if I was to go out ?
comment anyone?

7  faux lucite purse made from plexiglass (: in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by fromsophia on: January 06, 2009 12:01:27 PM
I was inspired by the lucite purses of the 1940s-60s but I modernized it and made it a little more industrial

I used a heat gun to bend the plexi my dad helped with a little bit of the technical stuff like the opener. It is my design. everything is metal or plastic no fabric involved. It is really easy to carry and is light for what it is made of.

9  I made a Maison Martin Margiela jean recon in Designer Clothing Homage by fromsophia on: November 25, 2008 02:20:28 PM

1: Find jeans that you hate. I used old bell bottoms
2: Make the Legs skinny if needed
3: Cut the part you took in from the leg off with shears so it wont fray
4: Slash the legs using a razor or box cuter put cardboard in the legs so you dont go all the way through repeat on both sides but stager the slits so you dont cut a leg off of the jeans
5: So you are done but no quite yet. Through them in the wash until desired shredyness is achieved.
