2171  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Paint Chairs Green or Brown? on: May 10, 2008 12:54:36 AM
I like the green also.  The brown seems to "melt" into the carpet. (same shades)

This is simply a very very awesome table.  You did an incredible job with it.  Thank you for the tips and instructions.  I've wanted to use resin so many times but 1. afraid of the stuff and 2. can't find any. Great great table!!!
2173  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: From used plastic soda bottles to butterflies on: May 10, 2008 12:28:37 AM
Hope you both post pictures of your projects.
I've also made rain chains from the cut off tops of the bottles--painted them with tempera paints (not easy) attached small chains.
also made little light things when we had a party at home once.  Used the bottoms and put tea lights in them.  They made a very subtle green glow on the green grass at night and people could see their way in the dark to the house.
At the kindergarden I used to work at would cut out the straight part...discard...then put a roll of toilet paper in the bottom part of the bottle, replace the spout part and pull the paper through that. Dispenser type thing. Very convenient when you have 28 runny noses.

2175  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Gumdrop Cheescake on: May 09, 2008 11:48:14 PM
It is really a good job.  I love the way she used the gumdrops to decorate it.  Hope it made a bundle!!
2176  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Lesson learned on: May 09, 2008 11:45:25 PM
Great first tries!!! Now the hard part is over...you tried.  Now go for it.  They look fine....but looks like you really used meatballs and sauce on that cake......looks real...very real!!!
2177  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Mother's Day foodage?? on: May 09, 2008 11:03:35 PM
Salihan posted a very nice recipe on this board for "fried macaroni".  I tried it this past week and liked it very much.  It was fast and healthy.  Everything in the wok...has soy sauce, veggies and some meat.  A meal in a pan.
Hope this helps.

Smart son!!! Looks delicious!!! My DD is addicted to these. She love the strawberry banana combo.  Too sweet for me though. Looks so appealing in that wintery glass!!

I've seen these around here...alot.  IMHO the "best" looking ones are the ones that have the plants "flowing" down.  Small leaved plants.  I don't really know which plants are good for your area.  Or you could just plant a cactus right smack in the middle of it.
Hope this helps some...just an idea.
