kaleesi,  That is a great idea.  Looks much easier and faster than to paint on the plastic.  Yours came out beautiful.(though my computer won't show me all of the pictures)  Thank you for sharing!!

The glue from the "better" hot glue gun is holding nicely.  Thanks for the incentive to try it.  It should be okay but better if they were on a window and not on the door that I keep walking past (and rubbing against).
Still hope someone posts their take on recycling soda bottles.

Great first try....fantastic first try.  I love the "irony" of you doing something for your kids with your Mother's day gift. Sorry, I'm just a sop for stuff like that.  I love it. IMHO, I don't think it could be better.  A perfect project ...done!!

Well, I used the bitsy glue gun...everything fell off.  Then I used the bigger one with the "better" glue sticks and they have held over 24 hrs with only a few falling off.  It's hot in there again.  I do think that is a problem for glue.  Oh well.
Thanks for the help.

You should be proud of yourself.  That sheet came out perfect and looks so nice and flat and a perfect fit.
Not two weeks ago friends of mine that are expecting their second asked me to do the same with double sheets and it wasn't easy without the proper measurements and I've never even been to their apartment and seen the bed.
Good job!!!
