31  Craft Swaps / ACTIVE SWAPS WHERE SIGN-UP PERIOD HAS CLOSED / Re: Geezers Alive and Kicking, Round 6 (CLOSED, Send by Mar 31) on: March 30, 2015 03:21:01 PM
I am almost done.  I plan to finish tomorrow and send 1 day late.  But, it will be a fun package that I'm sure Rox will love.  Here's a hint:  Its soft and squishy.  And there's a nerdy little extra in there for Lana.

Hey there.  I live the United States with my hubby, kiddo and pug.  The hubs has sinus issues and allergies, so please no strong smoke smells.  Most of his other allerges include grass, pollen, dust, and other things that wont effect this swap.  Except for his cat allergy, but just as long as your kitty doesnt rub all over the item and you dont send a huge ball of cat hair, then Ill just wipe the item or wash it.

Im a geek at heart with some nerd and whole lotta goofy mixed in.  I love Harry Potter, Tattoos, Pugs, retro 1950s, video games, pirates, cowboy boots and books.  My favorite crafts are knitting and crochet.  But I do the occasionally sewing project, embroidery hoopla, book folding and well.you get the picture.  LOL.  Color combos I like are red/white/black.  Heather grey.  Tan/chocolate brown.  Black.  Teal.  I dont like pastel, neon, orange or yellow colors.  And themes I dont like are baby, creepy, crude or adult.

Crafty goodness:

~Pug Silhouette pillows cases for our couch pillows.  I would love 4 but, they dont have to all be the same claim.  In any of the following colors black, tan, chocolate brown, white.  Would be extra cute if a red fabric heart silhouette was sew on the pugs chest.  I need the silhouettes in fabric or washable felt.  No paints please.  Something like this:

~Pug shirt.  Juniors medium.  Crew neck.

~Zipper pouches.  With pug a pug Silhouette on them.  Size wise long enough for pencils or dpns.

~ 12x12 crazy quilt blocks.  In reds/greys/white & black combinations.  Id like to eventually to have enough to sew them into one big crazy quilt and say my craftster buddies helped me make this.

Supply wishes:  all supply claims are great!

~Lion Brand Wool ease Thick & Quick yarn.  Or similar yarn thats #6 super bulky.  I am making bulky cable knit blankets.  Each panel takes 2 skeins so, I need at least 2 skeins of the same color.  The more the better though.  Any colors.  But heather greys, creams, tans and chocolate colors would be my first choice in colors.

~Leather dog collars.  Ones that are at least 1 in width.  Total length for each collar needs to be 20 long or longer.  They will be for my dog as well as for relatives dogs.  100% real leather because I will be using my leather stamps on them.

~Leather pieces for leather stamping.  I need the pieces to be at least 8 x 1 (for bookmarks) or larger for other projects.  100% real leather because I will be using it for stamping.

~Leather kits to make wallets, billfolds and other fun things.

~Leather bracelets like this for leather stamping on.  All sizes.  https://www.etsy.com/listing/160384195/wholesale-custom-leather?ref=sr_gallery_23&ga_search_query=latitude+longitude+leather&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

~Metal stamps for leather.  Paw print, dragon, flowers, eagles, wolf, ect.   The larger stamps that are roughly 1 x 1.

~star wars fabric.

~Pug fabric. Like this https://www.etsy.com/listing/181639948/packed-pug-pups-on-black-pure-cotton?ref=sr_gallery_20&ga_search_query=pug&ga_page=3&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery Or perhaps like this https://www.etsy.com/listing/213339584/pugs-kisses-from-michael-miller?ref=sr_gallery_38&ga_search_query=pug&ga_page=3&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

~Harry Potter edition yarns by Opal.

~Those washable markers that quilters use

~One of those clear acrylic quilting square template things.  You know, the ones quilters trace around.  I can not cut a proper square and I suspect this tool would help.  LOL.

~A fabric jelly roll.  Reds/blacks/whites especially.  But any colors that are good quilting cotton would be fine too.  Just as long as the fabric isnt that skimpy almost see through kind.

~Sock yarns.  Any brand, any color.  Especially any self striping like Kroy FX or other similar ones.

~all shades of grey super bulky yarns.

~white super bulky yarn.

~gift card to Ravelry

~faux fur fabric.  yd or more.  I will be making some lion mane hats for some dogs.  I had some faux fur, but the back side was rough and stiff and not very soft.  Id like some of the faux fur that the back feels soft against your skin.

~super hero comic books for the kiddos collection.  Star Wars ones would be extra awesome

~Any things with a pug, harry potter or tattoo theme.  Cards, stickers, figurines, ect.

What does make with such a large hook?  I don't think I have ever seen yarn thick enough to use with such a big hook.

La Chapa, awesome!  Definitely put knitting stuff too.  I have a ton of knitting needles!  I also have knit and crochet books too, so if you'd like books too, add that to you list.

Anyways.....100 year old barn wood crosses.  Hm.....when I go visit my parents this summer I'll have my step dad take us out of their old farm.  I'll have to grab some wood.  Course, we fly when we visit them, so it might would look odd having a suitcase full of old barn wood.  LOL.  I'll stick to just a couple of pieces.

Doing my 'hello, Ive just joined this round' post here.  I am in the process of making a whole new OWS list for this round.  You know, new year & new list.  Anyways....trying to look through this thread but there's soooo many pages I have missed by not being in this swap for awhile!  I did notice Always post 2 pages back.  Seen her picture and Lana picture.  Before I read it I was convinced Lana had an older sister.  You two look like sisters and both cute as a button.

Anyways....If anyone would like some knitting or crochet supplies be sure to add it to your list.  I am spring cleaning so Im trying to dwindle down my collection.  After all, do I really need 3 of the same hook?  Or that book that i have not made a single thing with?  Ah.....its an addiction!  I don't want to donate them if a fellow Craftster would want them.  So I have been stashing them in the closet until I joined another OWS swap.

I wanted to post an action shot of my quilt being used.  My little darling Buddha has 'pug approved' it.  Cheesy  Tonight I plan to sit on the couch snuggled up in this blanket while the hubs and me watch tv.

I was looking at the wonderful house fabric wondering how anyone saw a pug in it then realized that was the back  Cheesy

That is so funny. Cheesy  I love the back fabric too.  Its like edelC sent me a secret message to decode.  Houses on the back, pugs on the front.  meaning:  A house is not a home, without a pug.  Or maybe the message is:  This house is ruled by a pug.  Grin

littlefawnpug I am so so pleased that you like it. it was quite a challenge for me and there were many many many times that I almost gave it up, but it finally came together and I really do like the colour combination. It was mostly from stash, which was great as I am seriously stashbusting this year...I will have to come up with a new combination as I have exhausted my reds!! lol..

glad it is there and glad you love it. *huge jedi mind hug to you across the ocean*
actually on the back, one of the houses is coloured in, this is because it is quite similar to my house...so that was instead of a signature. Smiley

I am so glad that you didn't give up on the quilt.  It turned out so amazing and I adore everything about it.  That's neat about the one house being colored too.  A little piece of Ireland in my home.  Smiley
