1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: OWS Round 113, 114 & 115 Gallery & Discussion on: July 05, 2015 06:51:03 PM
Checking in.  I have to wait until payday this Friday to mail my two claims from round 115.  *sigh* If only money grew on trees.  Until then I am enjoying the gallery photos.  I love all the action shot photos, its always fun to see the face behind the Craftster avatar.  Oh and that Yoda mug rug is so awesome!

Thank you for all your hard work partnering and re-partnering.  I don't envy you your job but I appreciate you making this swap happen!
^ Yeah, what she said - greatly appreciate all your time and effort.

Happy 4th everyone!  Cheesy

Yup, totally agree with ya'll.  Swapping is fun but sometimes organizing can be difficult when trying to partner people.  But, our dear organizer made it happen quickly.   Smiley

scarlet_nights, what a cool find, vintage patterns are both fun and interesting.  I like the case they are in too.  It looks metal.  And how sweet of your hubby to grab it for you.

I went through my craft closet and came up with more things I would like and more things I have to offer.  So, I resent my questionnaire.  Smiley

6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: OWS Round 113, 114 & 115 Gallery & Discussion on: June 28, 2015 03:03:34 PM
Just a heads up to anyone who loves Urban Threads and all the awesome embroidery patterns on the site.  I went to check out the freebie of the month and seen that they are having a  "buy one design pack, get one free" special that ends the 28th, which is today!  Anyways, I got Plushie Pals set for a mere $12 and so then I was able to get the Skelly Plushies pack for FREE!!!!   Oh, I am so excited to make little stuffies with my embroidery machine!  If anyone wants some of them, add them to your wish lists now!  Cheesy

And in crafting news....I have finished making a bunch of crochet loofahs, now on to making some mug rugs!  I love this swap.

I'm going to claim Lo{ve} a mug rug in one of her favorite themes.  Actually, make that 2 mug rugs.  That way when one is dirty she will have a spare one to use.  Smiley

BRB with my list

Hey there.  I live the United States with my hubby, kiddo and pug.  The hubs has sinus issues and allergies, so please no strong smoke smells.  Most of his other allerges include grass, pollen, dust, and other things that wont effect this swap.  Except for his cat allergy, but just as long as your kitty doesnt rub all over the item and you dont send a huge ball of cat hair, then Ill just wipe the item or wash it.

Im a geek at heart with some nerd and whole lotta goofy mixed in.  I love Harry Potter, Tattoos, Pugs, retro 1950s, video games, pirates, cowboy boots and books.  My favorite crafts are knitting and crochet.  But I do the occasionally sewing project, embroidery hoopla, book folding and well.you get the picture.  LOL.  Color combos I like are red/white/black.  Heather grey.  Tan/chocolate brown.  Black.  Teal.  I dont like pastel, neon, orange or yellow colors.  And themes I dont like are baby, creepy, crude or adult.  Puffy paints or any fabric paint that is hard and cracks easily.

Crafty goodness:

~knit bunny hop slippers.  womans us size 7 1/2.  Would love a whole heap of them.  LOL.  Baby blue pair, smokey grey, or a pink pair like in the photo.  Machine washable and machine dryable yarn though-I have a pug who sheds so much you would think he was going bald.  So, machine washing and machine drying is needed to help remove pug hairs.  LOL

~space invader socks.  I am willing to wait longer then the regular 2 wks for these bad boys.

~super thick pot holders-I have some but they are way to thin thus not very effective.  Theme wise-red/black/white combinations.

~Pug Silhouette pillows cases for our couch pillows.  I would love 4 but, they dont have to all be the same claim.  In any of the following colors black, tan, chocolate brown, cream.  Would be extra cute if a red fabric heart silhouette was sew on the pugs chest.  I need the silhouettes in fabric or washable felt.  No paints please.  Something like this:

~a dog bone shaped placemat.  Looking for like a cream color bone and my dogs named stitched on the front.  That way you can read his name while the bowls on the mat.  Maybe a little red heart beside his name too.  That would be cute.  Machine washable please.

~ 12x12 crazy quilt blocks.  In reds/greys/white & black combinations.  Id like to eventually to have enough to sew them into one big crazy quilt and say my craftster buddies helped me make this.

Supply wishes:  all supply claims are great!

~Thread for embroidery machines. Any colors.  But varigated would be awesome.

~Yellow worsted weight yarn-I need 2 of those giant skeins of it.  Usually, I hate yellow-but I need it for a giant giraffe amigurumi that I want to make for my neice. Thanks MommytheMaid!

~Those iron on transfer sheets that you can put in your printer and print the design on it.  I need ones that can be used on light colored fabrics.

~12"x12" packs of scrap book paper.  style or design wise I would like ones that would fall under the catagories of 'whimsicle', 'elegant' or 'victorian' styles.  Would also love the 'Twilight' one that Joanns sells.

~One of those envelope boards that you can make envelopes with.

~Plain ceramic dog bowls(set of two).  I have some oil sharpies that I want to use to customize some bowls for Buddha.

~quilting cotton with koi on it-seen some at Joanns awhile back.

~quilting cotton with tattoo theme

~Lion Brand Wool ease Thick & Quick yarn.  Or similar yarn thats #6 super bulky.  I am making bulky cable knit blankets.  Each panel takes 2 skeins so, I need at least 2 skeins of the same color.  The more the better though.  Any colors.  But heather greys, creams, tans and chocolate colors would be my first choice in colors.

~star wars fabric. Already received in previous round-but more appreciated.

~Pug fabric. Like this https://www.etsy.com/listing/181639948/packed-pug-pups-on-black-pure-cotton?ref=sr_gallery_20&ga_search_query=pug&ga_page=3&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery Or perhaps like this https://www.etsy.com/listing/213339584/pugs-kisses-from-michael-miller?ref=sr_gallery_38&ga_search_query=pug&ga_page=3&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery
I already received some-but Im a pug addict so I can always use more.

~glow in the dark fabric paint

~Snape sign. https://www.etsy.com/listing/221202199/always-snape-and-lily-harry-potter?ref=sr_gallery_4&ga_search_query=harry+potter&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery

~Harry Potter edition yarns by Opal.

~Those washable markers that quilters use

~One of those clear acrylic quilting square template things.  You know, the ones quilters trace around.  I can not cut a proper square and I suspect this tool would help.  LOL.  Thanks Lo{ve}

~A fabric jelly roll.  Reds/blacks/whites especially.  But any colors that are good quilting cotton would be fine too.  Just as long as the fabric isnt that skimpy almost see through kind.  (Thanks Lo{ove}!)  Im keeping this one here though because more would be great.)

~Sock yarns.  Any brand, any color.  Especially any self striping like Kroy FX or other similar ones.

~all shades of grey super bulky yarns.

~white super bulky yarn.

~gift card to Ravelry

~faux fur fabric.   yd or more.  I will be making some lion mane hats for some dogs.  I had some faux fur, but the back side was rough and stiff and not very soft.  Id like some of the faux fur that the back feels soft against your skin.  Side note-any color of faux fur would be great-because I can use odd ball colors for monster stuffies.

~zoomigurumi books

~washi tapes.

Fun extras:

~Those UV protective full sleeves for your arm that cyclists wear.  I am finally having a full tattoo sleeve done on my arm.  So, I need some arm protection while doing outside stuff.  I already have a solid white & solid black one.  So, any other colors would be great or maybe one with a cool design.  International Ebay sellers usually have cheaper ones then the U.S. sellers.

~scentsy wax cubes(or similar brand) that has a 'super' strong scent.  I like the ones that smell like warm bakery goods.  (Banana bread is my favorite) And ones that have a crisp clean scent like rain, fresh cut grass or clean laundry.  Note:  Its hot hot hot here.  So, these may melt in the shipping process.  For that reason if your sending these could you please place them in ziplock baggies.  That way they wont ruin any thing else you might be sending.

~Lord of the Rings books.  Real book or kindle version.

~Mojito Elephant ear bulbs or sprouts.  They are the ones with black/green marble-ish look to the leaves.  I am having a heck of a time finding them here.

~super hero comic books for the kiddos collection.  Star Wars ones would be extra awesome

~Any things with a pug, harry potter or tattoo theme.  Cards, stickers, figurines, ect.

~Some of those Tattoo Coloring  books I have seen on Amazon.

~Educational/puzzle type toys for dogs.  LOL.

~Stuff toy monkeys.  The kind with long legs and arms-my dog loves them.  LOL.

Thank you in advance for claiming me!

Oh, pocket type potholders!  Those are so great when grabbing pans from the oven.  Much nicer then the regular flat potholders.

I knew I was missing something on the questionnaire but my brain was fried. I'll fix it now.

No, not fried.  It was just swap overly stimulated by swap excitement.  It happens to us all.  Smiley  Anyways, I am super excited about this swap.  Thanks for organizing it!

Just a heads up, I added that I own a pug at the end of my questionnaire.  But, it might be easier in the future if you add an 'allergens in your home' part of the questionnaire.  You know, so a person with cat allergies wont accidently be paired with a person who owns and cat.  You know, stuff like that.
