1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Halloween felt Frankenstein brooch on: August 30, 2011 01:38:08 PM
Made this cute, er, creepy Frankenstein brooch today. Embroidered details and little button eyes. That's my son modeling for me. Smiley

And a close-up -

He was a lot of fun to make!
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My little motley crew ... on: July 15, 2011 07:02:02 AM
My grandma gave me her old sewing machine this week and it sews like a dream. I made this little motley crew ...

I present to you Pinkie, Clarence and Ichabod ...

Look! One even has arms...

My son said this one looked like a potato headed demon, but I thought that was too long of a name so I settled on Ichabod.

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Shrink plastic jewelry making - Doll Brooches ... on: June 25, 2011 08:07:06 AM
So, I discovered shrink plastic and I've been having a blast making doll brooches. Basically, you draw on the plastic with permanent pens/markers. I punched holes so I could attach legs to mine and then you heat it in the oven.

Right now I'm working on some other designs
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Little handmade dolly on: May 30, 2011 12:51:35 PM
So, I finally carved out a sewing craft space/nook thing in my bedroom and I took full advantage of it today. I made this cute little doll...

Edited to add a new picture of her with yarn hair...

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / My felt bunneh! on: May 10, 2011 01:46:35 PM
Apparently, I just have a thing for making dolls/toys without all their body parts.  Grin

Here is a felt bunny I just finished...

He's hungry. Could you toss him a carrot or two?
6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Mr. House gets a lady friend... on: March 29, 2011 10:08:53 AM
Mr. House was begging me to make him a Mrs. so...I did! I don't think she likes him, tho.

I used the machine on her face, but I embroidered his. I think I like the way it looks, but I need some practice. This is the first time I've ever used the zig zag on my machine.

She looks a leettle worried...

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Mr. House The Plush Guy... on: March 28, 2011 09:38:08 AM
So, I decided to dust off the sewing machine and play around with some of the fabric I've been hoarding. I got this little guy. His limbs were an epic fail, but he's still super cute anyway. I'm gonna work on some more later today and hopefully they'll have arms and legs. ^____^

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Pugs... on: November 15, 2004 12:06:33 PM
I have, unsuccessfully, searched high and low for a stuffed animal pattern for a Pug. Does anyone have any idea where I could purchase/find one, on-line or elsewhere?
