1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Some initial tees - bday presents on: March 16, 2008 09:41:41 AM
We were invited to a double birthday party last Sunday. AND we had another party on Saturday so my wallet was feeling the strain. But they were boys. I have all girls so I figured hmmm lets try some initial tees. Grabbed some b-ball fabric from Joann's and then hit Old Navy for the ringer tees. I made both of these in less than 2 hrs and for less than $15 for both.  I also have plenty of fabric left over to make more JIC there are more parties LOL

The "c" boy wore his to school the next day - he really liked it! BTW they were 5 and 6 yos. My DD told me "mom they don't like THOSE kids of presents" but I gave them anyways LOL

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Fabric Button question? on: February 18, 2008 01:59:42 PM
I've been searching and searching for the "perfect" buttons for DD's mermaid dress. I have to complete this before she outgrows it LOL

Since I cannot for the life of me find something to go w/ it (mermaid themed) I thought hmmmm maybe I could cover a button w/ some of the fabric remnants? Soooo how do I do that???

3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Nwbie w/ Cupcake Birthday Stripwork Twirl Dress on: February 17, 2008 06:42:47 AM
I made this Friday night for my baby girls 5th birthday party Sat afternoon. I got a great deal on some "fabric" i used for it so i just had to whip this up for her bday party. She loves it and so does mum Smiley

See if you can tell where the "fabric" came from Wink

Please forgive the goofy smile - she makes it look so painful to smile LOL
