4  Re: Bookmark Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by lovesit on: January 10, 2009 03:00:44 PM
Happy day!  I came home and had two bookmarks!

The first is from WyoKrista

I am not sure if you can see from my crappy pic but it is amazing!  Very vintage...and I absolutely love the little bird stamp.

The next is from angeltreats

Isn't it gorgeous?!!!  I know very little crochet but I definitely want to learn how to do this.  It is great!!

Thank you both soooooo much!  I can't wait until you get yours.  I sent them all today so hopefully mid-next week.  This has been the best first swap!!

5  Peace - a Christmas apron in Needlework: Completed Projects by lovesit on: December 21, 2008 01:35:50 PM
I made this for a gift exchange we have every year with my in-laws.  When I finished it, I told my husband that I wanted to keep it for myself but he made me wrap it up.

I hope you like!

6  Merlot & Chardonnay napkins in Needlework: Completed Projects by lovesit on: December 21, 2008 01:25:43 PM
My sister and I made out step-mom a set of 4 napkins embroidered with Aunt Martha's vineyard patterns.  She did two and I did two....here are mine.  I am sorry that my pictures are a bit dark and blurry....I cannot figure how to get good pics with clear shots of the stitches.

Merlot:

Chardonnay:

We exchanged gifts last night and she loved them!  She said that she never wants to use them and frame them instead.  The are totally obsessed with wine (wine tasting parties, wine themed dining room, vacations to vineyards, etc) so I knew she'd appreciate them.

I love the Black Apple so much and when I found out Emily Martin was going to do an artist series with Sublime Stitching, I was really excited!!  Here is my first little gal that I turned into a bookmark.

I am kind of sad about how frayed and uneven the muslin is but its only a bookmark and it will serve its purpose!

Here is a closeup of the top...

The middle...

And the bottom...

I hope you all like!!

9  an ode to my workspace in Needlework: Completed Projects by lovesit on: March 11, 2008 02:55:31 PM
I got this idea from another craftster who purchased the "Subversive Stitching" book and turned it into her own little saying.  Here's the original thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=228285.0

And them frame idea came from this thread: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=232108.0

Thought I'd share!!
