1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Dinner Tonight: Steak with Roasted Potatoes and Garlic Sauteed Spinach on: April 21, 2013 10:50:12 PM
That sounds yummy!  I'll have to try that next time I cook spinach.

Here on Mississippi Ave we usually have our spinach in our smoothies.  We do however also enjoy it in a variety of Italian dishes, stir fried and destined for bibimbap, in a warm salad with a home-made bacon mustard vinaigrette...ok, pretty much anyway we can!

Very nice!  How long did it take you to make it?

Btw, I love your hair as well.
3  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Pink ombre cake on: March 01, 2013 09:01:18 PM
I love your icing!  I've been asked to make a pink mustache cake for my daughter's birthday party and I wanted the mustache to have texture, thanks for the idea!
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Underwater Applique! on: February 27, 2013 05:37:52 PM
That is absolutely amazing.  Seriously.

So good.  I love everything about it!!
6  COOKING / Dessert / Re: My First Yo Gabba Gabba! Muno and Brobee Cake Pops on: February 15, 2013 09:32:25 PM
Don't say they don't look right!  A friend of mine was looking over my shoulder and recognized them from the thumbnail!  Plus as long as they were enjoyed by others, who cares what they look like?  For the record, I think they look fine though.
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: 30 Rock Jack Donaghy Quotation on: February 14, 2013 10:24:15 PM
I don't watch that show but that line is insane.  I love insane comments like that.  It looks really good I don't know anything to hide that little end.  I've not done any needlework in a long while, though I've got a bunch of it in my queue right now.  I think it looks perfectly fine, I wouldn't have given that little knot a second look under normal circumstances.
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Hogwarts Castle Dollhouse and Harry Potter Friends! on: February 02, 2013 07:51:56 AM
This is amazing.  I love every thing about it!  Did the peg people come with it or did you buy/make them?  The detail is so incredible.  If I could hit the "This rocks" button a hundred times, I would.
9  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Re: I spun the cat... (4 pix) on: February 01, 2013 10:40:39 PM
I am so impressed with your cat spinning.  I just looked at my cat (long haired/Siamese cross) and she had some unrepeatable things to say to that idea.  She's such a trashy beast, but I did name her Donkey.

Anyway, I love this, this is fantastic.  As to what to make, the headband idea is a good one if he's that sort of guy.  Maybe a cozie for coffee cups?  Fingerless short gloves?  Slippers?
10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: The Big Thread About Nail Painting on: December 27, 2012 02:17:50 AM
I have a matte top coat I got from Walmart for well under $5.  Heck, it might have been just under $3.  It seems to have a chemical reaction with the polish that you can only see once it's dry.  And let me tell you it is MATTE and highly chip resistant.  If you don't have it and you want matte, get it.  I'm pretty sure it's NYC brand.
