i love retro pin-up girls, and always have a few calendars lying around, because i figure i can always come up with some crafty idea for them!

i made these a few years ago for my first christmas away from home.

i just picked up a box of clear glass ornaments from michael's, and painted them with glitter [these are my favorites!] or mod-podged tissue paper on them.
then i mod-podged on pin-up girl that i got from a page-a-day calendar.
i finished them with a clear coat of mod podge, and added some fancy hooks.

i look forward to seeing these sparkle on my tree every year!

that sounds like a great idea! some friends and i have tried to start a monthly crafty ladies group, but so far, the only one that's taken place has been the one at my house!  Wink

i *love* this! it's so beautiful! and the story behind it makes it even more amazing.

do you have any tips/suggestions on filling in large areas? i've tried satin stitch, but i find it a little tricky deciding which direction to go.
