21  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Ceramic Christmas Ornaments! Stars! on: November 27, 2009 06:24:27 PM
Those are beautiful. They remind me of Brown Bag Cookie molds (http://www.brownbagcookiemolds.com/). They were ceramic cookie molds that my mother had when I was growing up. I also love the fleur de lis. One of my favorite design motifs.
22  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Experimenting with a shoebox turned loom... on: October 25, 2009 09:28:26 AM
Alhrayth, this looks fantastic. I started working with a loom when I was learning to do beadwork and eventually moved onto the peyote stitch (the one used to make the cuffs). Finishing on a loom isn't always the easiest but if you are making this as a cuff, I would recommend using two pieces of leather or something sturdy like that and using one for the backing and gluing down the strings to the underside of one and fastening another piece of leather on the back. That would probably be the sturdiest and the most traditional but this is one of those areas that you need to find what works best for you. Keep up the good work.
23  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Re: not loading on: September 23, 2009 06:01:09 PM
I'm also on a Mac using Safari and have had that problem for the last few days on and off. Just refresh the page and everything should load up. Not sure why it is happening but the refresh button has been working for me.
24  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Life's too short to worry about offending someone (NSFW)! on: August 20, 2009 08:27:16 PM
I love it! I lost my grandmother two years ago to liver cancer after she beat the odds doctors gave her of surviving breast cancer a couple years before that (stage 3 to 4 at 80 years old with heart problems requiring a masectomy and strong chemo). This definitely is how I feel about cancer.
25  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Dress/Top from cherry fabric on: August 20, 2009 06:41:37 PM
These look awesome and very flattering. I also am very much in love with the cherry fabric. I have a bunch of it myself and it's my favorite print.

27  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: A Rainbow of Lipbalms on: March 27, 2009 03:06:08 PM
Did you use food coloring? Or did you find some special lip balm colors? These are awesome and I'm going to be doing another batch for myself soon.

What scares you hun? As long as you check that its lip safe and add it in small amouts its FUN!!! and it makes them that much more cheery!! once you try it with clear tubes you will be tickled I am sure
28  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: My efforts with resin from the beginning to now - Image Heavy! on: January 04, 2009 07:58:01 PM
Jollyjasjas, Resin is awesome. It is a 2 part liquid plastic that cures and hardens to a hard plastic finish. Check out this thread http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=10667.0 for a huge discussion on it. If you are also looking to jump right in with jewelry, pick up some epoxy resin (1:1 mixing ratio). Also, Resin Obsession that SewEnthusiastic mentioned is a fantastic source for resin supplies. She is online at www.resinobsession.com and also has some videos on YouTube that go over everything from the basics of mixing and pouring to finishing and drilling pieces. I'm getting ready to put in another order with her soon. She is fabulous.

These look great! Do you mind me asking where you found the square mold? I have been looking for one and all I could find was a candy mold that I had to break in order to get the pieces out, even with mold release.
