So excited. Just finished the last touches on my large item and off to photograph and get ready for mailing. Now as long as my local post office doesn't close down for snow like it did last week I'm all set.

I'm very close to being ready to send out over here. I'm pretty much snowed in with the New England blizzard and not able to get out to the store to pick up something I need and I won't be able to until Friday. Argh.

Well, I probably should have planned a little better for swaps rather than jumping in during the holiday season. Then to add to the festiveness, had a family hospitalization over the past week and a half with hours worth of phone calls about getting care set up. I've been a bit quiet this time around.

Anyway, I have received from both my partners and I received some really awesome stuff. The first envelop I received was from Lindyv321. With some really great paper supplies, rubbings, clippings, ribbon, charms/iron-ons. I already have lots of ideas on how to use these.

My second package was from sarahbug and included lots of goodies like a handmade ornament and inchie (both really beautiful and I can't wait to display them), glitter, vintage ribbon, charms, rubbings/stickers, and charms. After taking my pics I noticed that one of the charms was not included in the first pic so it is in a second.

Thank you to both of you for such awesome packages and really brightening up a crappy week.

I love it! I'm a proud bunny mama and the sizes of the two in your embroidery remind me of mine. Also, both sleep in that same pose.

19  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Looking for suggestions - handicapped child on: December 01, 2009 10:23:03 AM
MerryGlas,

These ideas are fabulous. I think December will be a very busy month for us. He loves doing craft activities (only done a few so far but his reaction was priceless). It's also great to have ideas from someone who is familiar with the situation.

Thank you!
Sarah

I work with a 9-year old boy with CP and is mentally retarded. He is currently on bed-rest after surgery but has a bed tray. For Thanksgiving we did a turkey headband using his hand being traced. He needs a lot of hand-over-hand and his ability to do detailed work or much coordination is very low. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for activities preferably Christmas related that I could do with him. I have some of the basic dyed noodles strung, Santa mask with a paper plate and pompoms, foam ornaments with glue-on pieces. Another one that I really want to do with him is dipping pretzel sticks in chocolate then in sprinkles. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
Sarah
