It feels good to be back on the scene :-)

Oh how i've missed Craftster, let me count the ways!!!!!

For the past two years i've been in hiding because I had a baby boy in  2010 and prior to that, was put on major bed rest and not allow to craft anything. So hubby made me shut it down :-(
Then right after having him, started planning a wedding!! And in the mix of that, cake competitions, 4 children and my grandma fell ill with brain, pancreatic and lung cancer (and i was back and forth taking care of her) and sadly 4 days before our wedding passed away which was November 19th 2011.

So out of all of that i'm just now getting some type of order to my life and have been able to get back into my lab and create :-)

I just wanted to share the first soap i've done in two year and it's Watermelon Taffy Soap.
Cp Soap but in whipped form!! Bottom is green, middle is a little bit of white and the top is pink with lots of swirls and glitter. The black specks are Black Hawaiian Sea Salt for a little bit of eye candy and to give the effect of a slice of watermelon.

I do not have a tutorial on it because I've always used Nizzy's website as my guide.

Using this method does takes a little practice and learning what seizes and what doesn't, oils that work best for you and everything else but once you get it, it's hard to stop!

@Cassie.... I would thnk it would fall off b/c of the product being "jelly"... if not fall off it would make the whipped soap yucky and melt :-(

THe bottom of mines is just glycerin soap with a little bit of Shea Butter glycerin soap to give it a milky look, then a raspberry soap dye :-)

I have this wierd obsession with making bakery looking items!!!!
It's like I make them b/c i try not to eat them, but then once i make them I have to go out and buy what I made!

I had to go incognito b/c guess what?! I had a baby! Yup July 21st is when Kameron Xavier made his way into the world at 6lbs 12oz. My pregnancy was such a downer b/c I was put in the "high risk" category which made have to be put on bed rest, not allowed to make any products, had to get shots once a week, went into preterm labor about 4 times, diagnosed with Hyperemesis AND this is all while taking care of my other 3 children! But all is well, the house is sorta back to normal and i'm sorta back to creating!

I've been checking in and out and I'm loving all of the new idea's and creativity that you all have been doing.... YA'LL ROCK :-)

I had a FEW minutes to spare to myself this past week and wanted to show off a little of what i've done! It's nothing major or spectacula BUT amazing b/ci'm nursing and I actually got time to myself to do it, lol. I hope you enjoy it!

So i've been apart of this groupd for over a year and JUST NOW found out they had this section! I feel like a dork!

Anyhoo.... I thought I do a post to see if there are any crafters in my area? My family and I just got our first house in the area bout 7 months ago (Edgewood) and I would love to find someone or people with the same intrest as me!
I sorta have down time, but it's spreaded out during the day due to my being a SAHM and running my business. It would so be cool to have people come over and occupy some of this space with me and craft and bake with me!
Who knows where it might lead business wise but either way it goes i'm up for new friends like me!

So if you like soap making, bath and body making, jewelry, polymer clay, sewing (i'm certainly not a pro)  baking (about to start doing wedding and shower/party orders, yay me!) and making candy... pretty much just everything that deals with being creative, look me up!

Takocos..... i just imprint the cutter on the soap and take a very small amount and use a small crafters paint brush and detail the inside with the mica. It's a annoying thing to do but it's worth the look.
