After seeing these on Etsy I just knew I HAD to have one. I tried quiet a few methods before finding what worked for me. My FH made the base as the ones at the craft store weren't strong enough to support the weight of the shells. I also made one for my MOH. Mine also has some charms for my grandparents who passed away this year and my cousin who passed in 2007. After the wedding I will be taking of the base and using the main part as some sort of decoration somewhere in my home, possibly a centerpiece or shelf decoration.

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Puppy's First Birthday Party! (a whole litter of pics!) on: August 21, 2011 01:37:51 PM
Oh my goodness, the party looked like SO much fun! I threw a birthday party for my dogs first birthday, but it wasn't nearly as amazing as yours Smiley Love all the details, I'm sure everyone had a wonderful time. Great job!

Mondays are my only day off so today I finally got the kitchen to 90% done. The only things I have left are to finish the poly nightmare gear table and to find a sweet curtain along with a piece of artwork. Yay for having the hard part done!!!

This is the view standing by the oven, looking toward the dining area

This is standing at the dining area looking towards the stove/sink. I have no idea what do with this wall.

Another view from the dining area

Standing at the oven looking toward the sitting area and foyer. The folding table in the photo will eventually be replaced by the gear table. I also need some curtains for the window, but I'm not quite sold on and idea yet.

Sitting by the table staring at the dogs area and purse/misc item catcher area. Also a wall just screaming for a piece of artwork. We're getting married eventually and I'm seriously thinking about doing a thumbprint tree guestbook, just so I can hang it here, lol

And the view from the foyer of the overall room. The green area above the oven will have the "This Kitchen is Bitchn'" phrase painted on it sometime in the new future. Update pics will definately be added.

Thank you for the compliments! I can't wait to finish it this weeked Smiley The table is one of my favorite things. We found it as a coffee table at my local thrift store. It was destined to be bar height so my fiance made a base for it and we restained the whole thing, cant wait to actually use it. I just hate polyurethaning so I've been putting it off, lol.

I bought a house last year that was built in 1971. The previous owner left all sorts of good stuff behind which I plan on incorporating throughout the house. I bought the house from the original owner so 30+ years of goodness. Since day one, I imaged this amazing kitchen to be green, brown, and white. A couple of months ago my best friend bought me a Kitchaid in the most perfect color of green... and that is what started the itch. Finally this morning I wake up and decide I can't spend the day bored. I want to bring a 70s-ish theme, so far so good. The project is still in progress due to forgetting I had to paint the popcorn ceiling (which tacked on 3+ hours to my painting), along with a discover of mold which we have treated. Hoping to finish painting this weekend. I do however now have overwhelming green wallspaces so I am trying to figure out some brown elements to incorporate. Now on to the pics...

I will be painting "This Kitchen is Bitchen" here

This table will eventually be going by the window in the room. I still need to add a few coats of poly.
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Housewarming party / stock the bar - need help with invites on: September 18, 2010 03:03:02 PM
I'm having a creativity block and could really use some help! My boyfriend and I bought a house in May and have just now got to the point that we can have a housewarming party. We don't really need anything for the house so we're going to have a "stock the bar" type party. The problem is I cant seem to find a cute way to word the invites without sounding like I want people to bring booze, lol. I'm trying to come up with something that gets accross how excited we are to have everyone come out and see the new place and if they want to bring a gift then they can help us stock the bar. Nothing seems to come out sounding right, lol ... please help!
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Wine Cork Bath Mat! on: August 16, 2010 01:52:52 PM
I'm making one of these for my kitchen! I don't drink wine, but I LOVE this mat, so I ordered the corks online. So far I havent had a chance to cut many of the corks, but I'm hoping to have them cut by the end of the week. I'm not sure how the one lady used a pocket knife to cut these, I'm using a small hacksaw and it's still a pain, lol. Cant wait to see this completed!
10  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Fused Glass I've Been Working On IMG heavy on: March 12, 2010 08:39:18 AM
All of your stuff is simply gorgeous! Would be an awesome addition to any jewelery collection. On a side note, am I the only one that noticed the face in your first photo? Looks like a fairy is liking the wings too, lol.
