1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / What paint should I use? on: April 06, 2008 10:10:16 PM
I am thinking about a mural in my babies room, a fairy landscape with a castle on a hill and a rainbow and lots of flowers.
Question is, what paint should I use? I mean, I could use ordinary wall paint but if I want to use plenty of different colours won't that cost me plenty of money to buy all the cans of paint? And if I use something different I don't want it to chip and fall off in 6 months?  Or be poisonous!

Also as it will be a landscape type thing covering the whole of one wall, possibly more I don't want to do too much dark colour in it right?

You think I could get away with a pale pink sky?

Aww I need some help on this one!

xx
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Faceless Lucy (raggy dolls) and a floofy cushion on: March 27, 2008 06:53:39 PM
Here is my Lucy from the raggy dolls. I got the Patons booklet for my birthday and knitted her for my baby, I have the 20 week scan this afternoon and if it's a boy then I will have to start Sad Sac!

I didn't make her face yet, I shoulda done it before i sewed her up then I could have used safety eyes, the pattern says to use felt. I'm umming and ahhing whether to unstitch and add the eyes, I just hate sewing A LOT.

I also didn't use the right colours, just used what I had.

And here is a floofy cushion that started life as a scarf, I moved from UK to Australia and simply had NO NEED of a scarf that warm and snuggly, so ripped out half of it, sewed up the sides and put a small very cheap Ikea cushion in it, and it now sits on my bed to snuggle when hubby leaves for work at 5am.

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / For my baby on: February 07, 2008 11:54:33 PM
I made this for my baby.  It's not born yet, in fact, it's not due for another 6 months!
I didn't put any buttons on yet.  I have some very cute daisy or heart shaped ones if bub is a girl.
Don't know if I will be able to put it on a boy?

It's the first 'complicated' thing I have knitted apart from some small toys, I'm quite proud!
