hey everyone--im so excited, this is my first post! (i hope i get everything right!!)  i was searching the web for a pattern for turtles because im obsessed, and found this one at

i thought they were so easy and cute id share!  plus they had a ton of other really cute patters for pretty much anything you might want to try!

wow that is totally awesome!  it looks like you used a type of tapestry loom (thats where only the weft shows)  i worked on that in my college fiber courses and was not good at it at all!  that takes a ton of time! wonderful job!

i was a beginner a year ago too, and i learned really well with The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller.  the diagrams were really helpful and there are patterns in the back that are really cute and pretty easy!  also she kinda gives a background and fun history lesson about crocheting.  and the way she explains stuff is laugh out loud funny!
