I was feeling like creating something and eventually I thought about Valentine's. My boyfriend doesn't want anything but I couldn't let that happen. At the same time I don't really care much for the whole valetines thing, so I didn't want to make something all red and heartsy. So I took some old Lego, and made it into a keychain!
I made this for my partner in the Catching Fire swap, she was a fan of Peeta and Katniss and I've been addicted to friendship bracelets so I thought I'd give it a try. I had never really made my own pattern before so after an hour or so of just designing the pattern I got to work. Over 1000 knots later it turned out ok
A picture of the complete front (sorry for the 'colouring' I posted it to instagram)
Now unfortunately, after using two full skeins of my navy blue colour I ran out of string so I couldn't finish the flames in all of their orange and red glory, but I think it still looks ok.

And last but not least, I thought it might be neat to show the back with all the colour changes happening:
So I know this has been done at least once in craftster history, but not in the last couple years. Lately I've been making them almost obsessively, so I was wondering if anyone would be up for a Friendship Bracelet swap?
I got a Derwent pencil a while ago and had used it in doodles but never in an actual picture, and I have to say, I rather liked it. My step mum who got the picture for Christmas really enjoyed it too I think this will be the first of many to come.
An in progress picture:
Added a touch of colour to the eyes to give the picture a little umph:
A few months ago, after watching me make various other projects, my boyfriend asked me if I would crochet him a Snuggy. Now a Christmas present, the Snuggy is complete! And to satisfy my own (and everyone who asks me how long it takes to make something) curiosity in the matter, I kept track of whenever I started and ended working on the Snuggy. 60 hours and 12 minutes later it's done, folded and wrapped up
I'll try and post some action shots after he opens it, it's far too big for me to even attempt.
I made some adjustments, after measuring an actual Snuggy some by happy mistake and others on purpose. This Snuggy is wider, for optimal cozy lounging, and the sleeves are slightly tapered (happy accident) but it makes it easier to use your hands while you have it on.
All and all I'm quite happy with how this turned out, I might just make myself one!
So this year for Halloween I ran into a problem the costume I wanted was $80! So after searching even further my options were three sizes too big or $80, so I decided to save money and make my own! I didn't have a pattern, but I had lots of thread, and thank the heavens because by the end of it, I used a whole spool plus some for my version of Captain America. Some of these pictures may Not be the best, it's hard to get a good shot by yourself!
So now that my partner has received, I suppose I can post this now! I made this little guy for the Supernatural Swap, it's Cas! The picture is one I found on the internet, so I take no credit for the actual design of little Cas, but man I don't know if I'll ever attempt something like this again...
This is my very first embroidered hoop, and I am quite proud of it, as it took me FOREVER to finish. Props to all you needle wielders, you are the most patient people I know! haha!
The full hoop:

I even put his little name on there!
The back's a little frumpy :/ but hey, it was my first hoop!
This is technically my first craft post, but I've been creeping for years and I've done a couple swaps now
I'm pretty proud of this piece so I'm soooo ready to post it! haha!
I made this for my partner in the Back To Hogwarts Swap. So when she said her favourite shop was Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, and she loved the 'Weasley style' of scraps and patches etc. This nearly instantly popped into mind!
The whole bag is completely hand sewn (I was pissed off at my sewing machine) and the embroidered patches also all done by hand
my cat really liked it too -___- wouldn't leave me alone the whole time I was making it....
annnddd a couple close-ups of some of the embroidered patches: (courtesy of Teamamma, 'cause my camera sucks.)
So I looked through the ideas thread a bit and I'm constantly stalking the swap section (and the super-awesome galleries) and saw that there wasn't really any mention of Vampire Diaries. I don't know if that's because no one cares for a Vampire Diaries themed swap or if they're just really caught up in the already on-going swaps, so I thought I'd float the idea.
So being as the new season has basically just started, I thought it might be fun if anyone's interested.... Would anyone like to do a Vampire Diaries themed swap?
So, my friend and I have a ton of stickers and just keep getting more (they're from Get Glue if anyone knows what that is) they're sent in packs of 20. They're round and about an inch in diameter with various images depending on what they were gotten for, but I just don't know what to do with them! Any ideas?
