Class/Challenge/House Pride: Arithmancy
SPEW: n/a
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Free handed bracelet
Project Page Link (if available): n/a
Brief Description: This bracelet includes nine colours, originally I intended to make nine diamonds in it too, but found it would be much too large if I did, so I only did seven.
Project Picture:

Also, I have a question about the DA. and I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me. I know there's the required craft time to move on to the next challenge, but how do I go about establishing that I've taken that time before moving on? Do I post a sort of proposal like OWLS and NEWTS or do I just post my crafted item and wait the allotted time before continuing?

Thanks in advance to whoever can answer Smiley

Loving everyone's crafts! All the food posts got me inspired so I had a crack at it myself. Smiley

Class/Challenge/House Pride: History of Magic
House: Slytherin
Project Name: Delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies
Project Page Link (if available): N/A
Brief Description: I grew up in a single parent household, almost everything was made from scratch because it was cheaper. When we were little my mum taught us to bake and me and my brother used to fight over who got to dump the cup of whatever into the bowl, so in honour of that I baked some chocolate chip cookies! Smiley Unfortunately they are not the ones my mum makes, but they are still delicious. The recipe can be found here, enjoy! : http://allrecipes.com/recipe/tiffanys-chocolate-chip-cookies/detail.aspx

OWL Subject & Option (if available): Transfiguration Option 1
House: Slytherin
Project Name: The 60 Hour Snuggy
Project Page Link (if available): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=431803.msg5168396#msg5168396
Brief Description: Named such, as I attempted to make one before and to satisfy curiosity timed every time I actually sat down to work on it over the two months I did. This crocheted snuggy took a large amount of yarn (approximately 3000 meters) aka. about 4 1/2 of those giant balls you find at wal-mart. I used a pattern I made  once before and it is crocheted in entirely of Half-Double crochets. The final product ended a little bit longer than anticipated at about 81 inches and about 50 inches wide. My project breakdown went out the window when I got sick and then had my birthday, forcing a huge amount of last minute crocheting to be done (my fingers are still a little sore and I finished about 14 hours ago... ). But the deadline was met successfully  Cool (and I feel like a boss for cranking out so much last minute and finishing it).

Project Picture:

Unfortunately this is the only picture of the finished product I have as I did an 8 hour push from 10:30pm- 6:30am and come 6:30am I wasn't having any more of the non-sleeping shenanigans. The birthday boy loved it! I'm so glad I stayed up, though my hands weren't liking me too much by the end, my fingers had slowed drastically and my eyes were heavy, it was worth it. Smiley

Thought I'd show the progress on my OWL project Smiley Currently just under 20inches here's the snuggy!

The next section will close off the arm hole areas, I hope to get another 20 or so inches in this week between swap crafts and work. Smiley

Also, everyone's stuff looks great, I'm so inspired to craft and maybe deplete my supply stash a little! You're all so creative, I'm jealous!   Cheesy lol

7  Lego dinosaur keychain! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by margaron on: February 14, 2014 12:52:20 AM
I was feeling like creating something and eventually I thought about Valentine's. My boyfriend doesn't want anything but I couldn't let that happen. At the same time I don't really care much for the whole valetines thing, so I didn't want to make something all red and heartsy. So I took some old Lego, and made it into a keychain! Smiley

Yay dinosaurs!

I received from whenindoubtsew today, just when we were thinking it was lost!

I opened my box today to find some wonderful stuff!

I got this shirt, inspired by one of Katniss' dresses in the movie, I put it on right away! (It makes me feel fancy)

(A close up on the detail of the shoulders) so fancy!

I also got this lovely pendent inspired by the girl on fire herself, archery and wedding dresses go together right?

And finally, some treats from the Capitol! Which is very yummy as I sit here posting lol

Thanks so much Kylie!!!!

9  Peeta & Katniss Bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by margaron on: February 05, 2014 09:41:08 PM
I made this for my partner in the Catching Fire swap, she was a fan of Peeta and Katniss and I've been addicted to friendship bracelets so I thought I'd give it a try. I had never really made my own pattern before so after an hour or so of just designing the pattern I got to work. Over 1000 knots later it turned out ok Smiley

A picture of the complete front (sorry for the 'colouring' I posted it to instagram)

Now unfortunately, after using two full skeins of my navy blue colour I ran out of string so I couldn't finish the flames in all of their orange and red glory, but I think it still looks ok.

A close up on Peeta:

A close up on Katniss:

And last but not least, I thought it might be neat to show the back with all the colour changes happening:

10  Friendship Bracelet Swap in New Swap Theme Ideas by margaron on: January 28, 2014 02:51:18 AM

So I know this has been done at least once in craftster history, but not in the last couple years. Lately I've been making them almost obsessively, so I was wondering if anyone would be up for a Friendship Bracelet swap?
