31  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Wow! I have a lot of ______ SWAP Gallery on: February 03, 2009 07:15:43 PM
I made a hat Christmas ornament from SarahJ's Yarn, (idea & directions found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=283646.msg3213898#msg3213898  )

and I started the Flower ornament (from foldingtrees.com) from OopsCreation's Paper  - Can't wait to have more time to make the entire ball, but I got so excited I wanted to post my creations early Smiley

Thanks Ladies

It has more fabric then you have ever seen in your entire life.  Probably the best way to describe it so you can picture it, is "Fire Hazard"  Cheesy
- It is that crowded, piled up with stuff, stacked dozens deep,  go with plenty of time and energy to dig!

They have the most beautiful trims.  gorgeous glass beads etc... wedding gown lace... upholstery fabric a plenty... you name it -- its there --

it isn't a real bargain place-  its a place for finding the fabric you have dreamed up in your head and have been searching for - you will be guaranteed to find it there... and if not - they have about 100 books to chose fabric from, on top of the thousands of rolls of fabric in the store!

It is worth the trip...

enjoy!

38  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Fondant Advice on: January 09, 2009 12:32:30 PM
Crisco is like Lard, or tasteless butter or margarine...  greasy stuff -
Ive used margarine...  ive even used spray pam...  just a thin thin coat of something slippery --

Its probably not the proper way - since it seems that powdered surgar is the right thing, but that didn't work for me either...

good luck!

Thank you all, for the kind replies.

The cheese is marshmallow fondant (water, marshmallows, crisco, powdered sugar)  with orange food coloring.
Super easy to make
