gosh i thought i was the only one checking the bank account before shopping!  i usually plan one fancy pants meal a week (10$ or more to feed 2 people) and the rest of the week plan on eating cheap.  shopping sales are good then cheap staples like beans and rice and eggs make regular appearances.

Very cute.  did you bake the cake in a bowl to get the shape of a ball?  i also like how put icing around the cake and dumped sprinkles.
