1  Re: A Little Fringe Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by regansbox on: May 12, 2012 08:23:39 AM
Spelling out her name on the gorgeous bracelet -- how clever!

I got home yesterday and had double the Fringe-y goodness. A new episode (which I now need to watch again to absorb everything) and my package from Noxika!

Which was effing incredible. She had to make it more than a small swap just to mail my box to me! So awesome. Allow me to demonstrate:

Meet Tiny Charlie and his September-inspired drawstring bag:

(note the tiny FBI badge)

Checking for Shapeshifter-iness:

(verdict? all clear! also, supercute hair)

Super-Closeup Charlie grins at you:

Love! I highlight Charlie, but the bag's going to get a lot of use, and it's perfect for Septemberiness. Thank you so much, Noxika! You totally rocked this swap.

You guys are so clever. The bookmark is my favorite thing so far! And, banana731, I meant to explain that the pens are Fringe-themed, too. Remember the episode with the autistic guy that they turn into a savant, so he can predict the future? He uses those Papermate pens to set off his chain reactions, because apparently they don't exist any more in the alt-universe. Grin

I searched and didn't see this one. Would folks be interested in a Fringe-themed swap? The TV show. Not the decoration technique. Although I guess there could be some overlap. Wink

My turn! tiffie1023 sent a box full of goodies. Without further ado...

Disney: Moooom. Open this box. I don't have thumbs.

First, some cute frames n art for the human.

This is defective. It doesn't have a picture of me in it. plz fix.

I thiiiink these are thrift shopped. I HOPE! We talked about our mutual love of thriftshopping. And if she cross-stitched this message, I am like permanently in her Craftster debt!

Some adorable yarn balls that are hollow. I think. They're really lightweight.

Do I look like I fetch? You wanted it, you shouldn't have thrown it.

A crazy of catnip toys! (Yes, I just made up that collective noun.) Felt with adorable little prints on them... dice... mice.... robots.

Oh, now THIS is the good stuff. This is relevant to my interests.

Yeah, fine. Here's one where I'm not spazzing. But my whiskers are still twitchin.

Somebody totally did her research on me. Check it out: a nepetalactone molecule necklace!!! SCORE. It totally rocks. I'm wearing it tomorrow to show off at the office.

Enough with the boring human stuff. I see more stuff in here for ME!

A fluffy stick toy! I totally love me some fluffy *nompf*.
(note the amount the cat is spoiled in the background)

And more fluffy stuff to craft with!
Dis, can I take some of this to Rowling, our little foster?

Well, if you must. Stinky Kitten can have this one.

Oh hai. I'm stinky foster kitten, Rowling.

Dis ball is as big as mah head!

Oooh. This catnip toy is totally nommy.

Thanks, Miss Tiffie, for all our awesome stuffs!

First, SQUEE! I'm so overwhelmed. Here's what I got from neverseenblue (click for full image):

  • A Set of Linocut Oh Hai! notecards
  • A Set of LOLCat Pins (in an adorable package)
  • A Gorgeous Modded Tin (which matches my kitchen)...
  • Filled with A Magetic Poetry LOLCat Kit! (+ some magnetic images of mah kitteh for captioning!)
  • And a Nom Nom Nom bowl (which also matches the kitchen), complete with painted cheezburger.

I think I'm taking the bowl to work to put candy in. Wink

Here's what mah kitteh had to say about it:

Best. Swap. EVAR.

9  Re: Paper & Ephemera Swap 6 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by regansbox on: July 19, 2007 05:22:55 PM
Got my package today from cumber1137, and it's really full! It had a bunch of smaller pieces of paper, which is great for me, because I mostly do 4 by 6 stuff.

The whole lot on my kitchen table:

(I had to stack all the paper to get it all in one shot.) Wink

My favorite bits. 1) A sheet from Juxtapoz, a magazine I discovered like a month ago:

2) A page from a "Straight Talk for Teens" sorta sex-ed book:

3) Waitstaff tickets for (what I'm guessing is) a local diner:

Thanks, cumber1137!

10  Re: Dungeons & Dragons RPG Swap ( Signups CLOSED ) (SEND OUT Jan 5 ) in The Swap Gallery by regansbox on: January 10, 2007 03:23:46 PM
I got mine from dyanemcs today!

Here's the full treasure take:

(Glad I don't have to split it four ways.) Wink Oh -- and the monochromatic is my deal. I told dyanemcs I was into grey recently, and she ran with it. That means everything I got goes with everything I own. Smiley Bonus!

An adorable, reversable "sword" holder to prevent the kitty from getting into the sharp objects:

A Bag of Holding with a divider and a bunch of pockets inside:

For the torso slot, a +1 Shirt of Protection:

Some nummy-smelling HANDMADE Lilac soap (check out the note: for getting rid of that "just-killed-orcs feeling"):  Grin

FOUR tins of HANDMADE lip balm in green apple, berry wine, raspberry lemonade, and chai spice (with the note "you can't fight the bad guys with chapped lips, after all!"):

and, my fav, the Necklace of Cold Resistance (I told dyanemcs that I didn't crochet or knit, and I'd love something like that -- she did both on this one piece!):

It's our first real cold day here in D.C., and I was pondering skipping out on going to the cleaners tonight because of it. Now I have no excuse. I can bundle up with my "necklace" and fight off the cold and traffic simultaneously. Wink

Boo. Yah. I feel like I drew from the Deck of Many Things and got a great card. Wink Thanks, dyanemcs!!!
