21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Work in progress on: March 20, 2008 04:36:38 PM
I learned a new trick, on how to make a circle shape/diamond shape for a center piece for a necklace, so I am giving it a try. I wanted to show a progress pic of how it's coming out so far.  Please leave comments and tell me what you think!! This is my first try at something like this.

22  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Fairy Tale Bracelet on: February 09, 2008 02:56:38 PM

This bracelet is made with a combination of chez glass beads, swarvowski crystals, and tiger wire.  It's a design I got from Hobby Lobby, and I changed it up a bit.  Im thinking about using this design for a watch or something.  What do yall think about it?  It reminds me something that a princess would wear, and it's really sparkly too.  So I decided to call this my Fairy Tale Bracelet. 23  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Question for melt and pour soap making on: February 04, 2008 06:57:29 PM
I was wondering if it is okay to use the extracts you use in cooking for scents... like Vanilla Extract, or Chocolate Extract for an example?  Or would I have to buy a specific type of oil?

And are dyes okay to use with this kind of soap?  Any hints dealing with making melt and pour type soap would be greatly appreciated.

Also what are some good melt and pour brands to start out with that you can get at Hobby Lobby?
