1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Afghan swap?? on: April 24, 2008 10:34:36 PM

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My Spring Inspired Blanket on: April 24, 2008 09:54:14 PM
I am in the process of putting together a blanket with pastel spring colors.  Im not done with it yet but I just had to show it off so far.  It's the length of a twin sized bed, and I think it's going to have 4 more rows added to it, and I need to finish the row of green and add another row of green on my first row before I finish it.

But here are the pics!! Please feel free to comment!!

Its not curling up, I just have it scrunched up so I can take a pic of most of it.  ^__~
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My First Reupholstered Chair (IMG Heavy!!) on: April 19, 2008 03:41:47 PM
Im not sure if this goes here or not, if not please forgive me.

Okay, I just spent all afternoon reupholstering the chair in my studio corner.  I shall post some before pictures of the chair, and after pictures!!  The fabric is actually a light green but because of the flash it looks like a yellow green.  Oh and I also just recently set up the sewing machine that I had gotten a while back.  I just never gotten around to setting it up.  So the before pics are from yesterday before I brought out the sewing machine and the after, are well the after pics.

Anyhow please tell me what you think, and if you have any tips on reupholstering in case I ever decide to do it again in the future!

Oh!  And I still gotta add a 2nd coat and the protective clear coat.

7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / A few new ideas on: April 18, 2008 09:19:26 PM
Well this first idea isn't new but I would love to see another poppet swap!  I missed out on that one and I'd like to try to participate if possible if theres another one.

Also another idea for a swap - jewelry.  A jewelry swap would be cool for those of us that make jewelry and all of the jewelry would HAVE to be made by hand and made by you.

Another idea to throw at someone - an Aimiruguri swap.  (not sure on the spelling of that) but yeah those are my ideas.  I dont think Ive ever seen an Aimiruguri swap on here yet and Im sure it'd be very popular.
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Need Help Creating My Studio on: April 18, 2008 06:00:55 PM
Ok I majorly lack organizational skills.  I want to turn my bedroom into my studio, but Im completely lost on how to do so, without making it too cluttered.  I'll get pics soon so you can see how it is set up and draw up kind of a graph so you can see what kind of space I have available.

But it's not that big of a room, but I do have a big closet, that has 2 book shelves in it... and Im seriously in need of more storage... but lack of $$ is preventing that from happening.

Anyhow, the desk I have is about 1 foot in debth by 3 to 4 foot wide... I need more debth and less width.... But I lack the money to get supplies to make it... So Im trying to figure things out.  I have a wall shelf rack for a wall shelf in my room, but not the actual shelves them self.  I gotta see how much the shelves and stuff is going to cost to get them.  Once I get those shelves up then that will make more room.

But really Im not sure what to do with it... I do alot of beading, and Im going to learn to sew soon so I need to try to make a functional space... but that's kind of hard to do.
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / I want to learn to sew on: April 18, 2008 05:33:14 PM
I want to learn to sew... I know kind of the basics of how to operate the machine but Im lost on reading patterns...

I was wondering can anybody show me a good link on how to make super easy curtains??  I want to make curtains for my room.
