2  Re: Chocoholics Unanimous Round 5 Gallery of Sweet Chocolatey Goodness! in The Swap Gallery by amybarnett on: October 05, 2009 07:17:18 PM
I totally posted the pics in the wrong gallery!! Here we goes.....

Ok, girls and guys, prepare to have your socks knocked off.....

Let us start with the lovely Bella Mittens. Extra long, dark green, cable-knit goodness. Jealous?

Then we have a Lace Cotton Slouchy Beret (so chic!) and a Cotton Washcloth (did I mention that today just happens to be my scrub day? very handy)

Some wonderful earrings!! I wore the pink/green ones today and got two compliments in a half an hour! They are hanging on a mug that says "In an imperfect world, chocolate is the PERFECT substance". Truer words have never been said.

And lastly.....the chocolate.......See over there on the left? That is a one pound bar of Belgium dark chocolate. mmmmm. I think I am set for a year.

If you are anything like me you would have gasped yourself to death by now.
And the best thing of all of this? Every single bar is dark chocolate. That means my Husband won't steal any of it!!
She personalized everything exactly for me.
Thank you so much ckkhan for being *My Angel*  Kiss I have been truly spoiled!

5  First Quilt! OMG It's King Size!! in Quilting: Completed Projects by amybarnett on: June 14, 2009 09:47:03 PM
Here is the heeeuge quilt I made for my sisters wedding! I roughly followed the pattern from the book "Last Minute Quilted Gifts". This took much more than the 8 hours the book promised but I completely blame that on the fact that this was my first quilt. It's a King size and I quilted the lines MUCH too close together. Even with it's little quirks I am still pretty pleased.

a little blurry but it's the only pic I got of it (almost)full size..... there are actually 6 bars of green...

folded up and ready to be wrapped!

Shame on me! I can't believe I forgot.....

Here is the Oh so lovely package I recieved from PinkJosy (over a month ago!)
Everything wrapped up so nicely.

A beautifully crocheted scarf. My absolute favorite:

And this one is utterly wind proof!

Here is a closeup of the detail:

This hair clippy is super cute (hand sewn with felt). I have also been wearing it on my coat in place of my regular pin.

Also included were a very pretty embroidered doily:

And a pretty key (I collect antique keys):

Thanks so much Josy for the wonderful box! I am in awe of your mad skills!

7  Re: Mary Poppins and Bert the Chimney Sweep Costumes in Halloween Costumes by amybarnett on: November 12, 2008 09:35:34 PM

no mustache, super easy costume. Do they make baby sized glasses, though?

And I was thinking:

My significant other: Hook
Your significant other: Pan (he can pull of the tights better)

me/You: Wendy/the lost boy in the bear costume. That would be so cool.

8  Re: Yarnies Scavenger Hunt 2 ~ Gallery of Goodness ~ in The Swap Gallery by amybarnett on: August 28, 2008 06:53:35 PM
I received an awesome box from kimtastic 2 days ago. Here is a list of the categories/items:

Local: a project bag from her fav bookstore, a book of O'Henry short stories (he is from her home town), Dolly Madison Mints (first Lady from her home town) and a cute little tub of Vicks Vapor Rub. I have never-ever tried it before! I almost want a stuffy nose just to see if it works...... Grin
Squishy: Polyfill!!!!!

Blue: Alpaca yarn (mmmm. so soft)
Letter "C": Cotton yarn
Flexible: A pattern book that can be used for several different projects....Versati lity!

Unusual: A fleur de lis double pointed needle book. With needles! And a pattern! So cool! (How did you know I am totally obsessed with Fleur de lis right now? Did I put it in my questionnaire?)
Senders choice: lock and key stitch markers-I used them today! I LOVE them!

Thanks Kim so much for a great swap! Everything is so nice! (I have to say, I have already used most of the polyfill, and the alpaca!!)

9  Re: Anatomy/Medical Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by amybarnett on: August 25, 2008 07:06:15 PM
Because Elensule is away at school and her box took soooooooo looooooong to get there, I am posting pics of what I sent her.

A huge squashy pillow shaped like lungs. It is made of the softest fleece ever and is about 2 ft tall.

A heart pouch I embroidered that had to be ripped out of my hands. I think it was about 6 inches by 10 inches. I lined it and added extra layers for padding. I was thinking maybe it would be good for a digital camera or something.

A little wooden drawing model for when she meeds to be anatomically correct. I couldn't help myself-I painted a little heart on his chest!

And there were some other things I forgot to get photos of:

A white blood cell and a red blood cell stuffies. They are just the right size for pincusions or just for being cute! I also included a anatomy sticker book an anatomy coloring book and some candy.

I hope you like all of it when you get home for Christmas!!!! Merry Christmas!

10  Re: Friends of Craftster Raffle Swap R2 (FOCR R2) Shades of Blue Gallery in The Swap Gallery by amybarnett on: August 21, 2008 08:40:19 PM
Woohoo! I was right! I got the ribbon organizer from littlebiskit and it is just awesome. Here it is in all its ribbony glory:

The little handles are genius! They are little nuts (y'know, hardware) with blue clay baked around them. Cool!

And never has there been a more thoughtful swapper: littlebiskit even included a bag of cheez-its for Darla! Because of this of symbol of goodwill and friendship, Darla approves of the ribbon organizer box. And so do I.

checkin out the goods.....

Also I have to mention there were 5 rolls of new, beautiful ribbon. Nice! This is a wonderful addition to my new craft room. Thank you ever so much!
