1  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / DORMANT: Tokyo Jacket Crochetalong (w/pattern link) on: October 06, 2009 08:38:22 PM
Hello! I was wondering if anyone else would like to have a crochet-a-long with this pattern by Naturally Caron...

If we have enough people, I think it would be great to see everyone's finished jacket!

I haven't yet started this, and it would take me a while with college and all, so it would be a fall/winter project...quite a long deadline! Smiley

Anyone interested at all?
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / College Xmas swap? on: September 21, 2009 09:04:49 PM
Hey! I am a swap n00b, and don't have time right now to join any swaps. But I thought it would be pretty sweet if we had a swap over x-mas break, for those loverly college students, such as myself. Smiley

Anyone interested?
3  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Crafted Goods needed for Abused/Homeless/Trafficked Children! (DueMay7th) on: April 14, 2009 03:42:43 PM
Hello! I'm looking for ANY crafted goods.  I'm having a craft sale in May, and all proceeds are going towards the God's Child Project.  The due date for goods is May 7th.  (Sorry I didn't post earlier, I completely forgot that I could post about it in this section!)

The God's Child Project helps poor, homeless, abused, and trafficked children in Guatemala. More can be found out here:

If anyone is interested in helping, please message me!  No craft is too small, and all are appreciated! Thank you!
4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Angie of the High Seas on: July 09, 2008 06:39:22 PM
I just finished this piece for my portfolio today.  For some reason, her name is Angie. It just came to me.

(sorry for the not-so-great scan! Cry )
I used ink and watercolors.

I think I may work on her a bit more, because the painting seems to be missing something, but I hope you like her! <3
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Black cat, black cat! on: June 21, 2008 08:52:32 AM
I'm doing a rather large painting of my cat for my parents.  And...she's black.  I'm not too good with animal fur, so I was wondering, which brushes do you use? Rounds, or angles, or what?  And if anyone has any tutorials they've found, I would be forever grateful!!!!

Thanks so much!

(Dunno if this matters so much, but the painting's to be done in acrylic)
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Slouchy open stitch-ish hat! on: February 09, 2008 07:16:27 PM
I made this Christmas Eve. ^___^ I got an N sized hook, and I was excited to try it out, so I made this hat! It's really stretchy, and at the time, matched my hair! Sadly, my hair is now more brown/blonde than purple, but the hat has still recieved many compliments.

Close up of stitch and stretchyness.

Fear my great generic emo photo taking skills!!!!1111

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / I got bored... on: February 09, 2008 07:10:35 PM
So I made this hat! I made this last summer, while staying at my grandmothers. I used the Lavendar Bunny hat tutorial on craftster as a guide for the ears.  I'm really happy with this hat, though at the moment I have to resew the ears back on.  Sad

Thanks for looking. ^___^
