I want to start this in November as well. hopefully Smiley Are we putting up pictures as we go as well as end products? Also I am not in the US does anyone know how many yards of yarn is needed?

I think wip pictures would be really nice. Smiley  If you want to post them, that's lovely! If not, that's totally fine as well.

Still haven't started anything, but I finally picked up my yarn!

Using Cascade 220...
the gauge will probably be a bit off, but I can work with it.  Plus, I really, really wanted something warm for this winter! Smiley

I'm interested in! I'm pretty busy, but this is a swap I could get done! And it sounds really fun!

I didn't get the memo about the official start date whoops! I started the foundation chain today, and will continue to work on it bit by bit until I fall asleep today, see how far I get...I was actually going to do this in a really pretty varigated yarn that I have in a white, cream, tan, light blue and dark blue...but I think the varigation will cover up the beautiful lace work so I want to try this one in a Gray body and Black sleeves since I have ton's of black lying around, but don't want to do a completely black project and only have a little bit of gray...we'll see how things end up...it might be a few other colors too... Roll Eyes

::edit::-- thought it pertinent to add that though the stitches look incredibly difficult once you read through how it's done and attempt it on scrap yarn it's BER easy!

:3 That's totally fine, and it sounds like yours is going to be amazingly beautiful~! I'm so excited to see everyone's finished pieces, even though it is a ways away~!

Well, I am about a intermediate on the crochet level...not an expert yet.  I too, have never crocheted a full garment, like a sweater, but I 've done other clothes, like hats and gloves and such.  It might be difficult, but I think we could figure it out! Smiley

And if you need to start later/ join later, that's totally fine with me. Cheesy

I'm so happy other people are making thiiiiss! :3

Wow! Lots of interest! Smiley  I figure we need to give everybody some time to get yarn, myself included! (oh, college homework. and midterms. D:)

I'm going to be pretty busy these next two weeks...but I might be able to start on it.  How about we all officially start on October 16? Does anyone have a problem with this date?

Really excited for this! I think I am going to get yarn this Friday....Cheesy

YAY! Glad people are interested. Cheesy

Yes, I don't believe I will be using the brand yarn either...just going to find a yarn I love with the correct gauges and such. Smiley  And I think I actually do want to make it in green...Anyone else decided/interested on/in a color?

A multi colored crochet-a-long sounds great!

I also agree about the prices...still unemployed, so it would be a while til I could afford the yarn I want! Unless I beg the boyfriend...Either way, I think it would be a long term crochet project anyway, and we could make it super long, to account for the length/budget of the project! Smiley
