11  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Secret Santa Swap 2013 SU CLOSED SO Nov 15-21** on: November 21, 2013 09:59:15 AM
I think I'll try delivery by floo powder. Do you think if I only pop my head into the flames and state the destination THEN toss the package in, that the package will get there okay? I sure hope so!

I claim texscrapper for a stenciled shirt for Tucker

(3, 0, 1)

Hello everyone!! My name is Laura and Im from a small farm in Pennsylvania. Im a long-term substitute teacher teaching cooking classes, and on other days Im a curious crafter and the family chef. Im 23 and still live at home with my large family. My other hobbies include extreme outdoor activities, gardening, and spending time with my boyfriend. My list is broken down by craft type, and these are items for my immediate family, coworkers, and best friends!

**No allergies!**
Bold items are most wanted

SEWN

- Elastic-backed headbands 1-1.5 wide (any solid or patterned fabric, not yellow/orange/red)
-A full apron, not pink please. Style ideas on my pinterest.
-Solid color maxi skirt (will send you measurements if claimed)
-A fancy lanyard for me, anything to replace the ugly standard black one I have
-A KitchenAid mixer cover for my mom. Her kitchen theme is chickens/farm animals by theme or tangerine/cream/white by color. Either would work.
NEW A needle book. Any cute little design. Bonus if there's somehow space for some embroidery floss in it, too.

YARN

-Small ami figure for the baby cousins. Anything boyish and child-safe!
-Crocheted/knitted earwarmer headbands (solid color in neutrals, dusty rose, turquoise, or dark green) (set of 3)
-Cowl infinity scarf like this http://pinterest.com/pin/4574037095219660/
NEW Bootcuffs or legwarmers, neutral colors, maybe with a button or two

PAPER
-Handmade gift bows (solid color or polka dots)

DIY/OTHER

-Homemade lotions/body butters
-Homemade soaps, hot or cold processed Thanks Momof2!
-Homemade bath bombs (citrus scented)
-Hanging jewelry organizer, as seen here http://pinterest.com/pin/4574037092464981/
-Mosaic coasters, any color/pattern/design (set of 4, please)
- Christmas tree ornaments! Those can go to many different people! (any medium) (specifically one American flag themed)
-1 dozen chocolate covered oreos (I can give these early if you send them!)
-1 or 2 dozen oreo truffles (I can give these early, too!) Thanks Lo{ve}!
-2 doz homemade peanut butter cups (see pinterest for recipe!)
Hand carved stamps -- A corgi, "Yay!", my initials LM, and/or woodland themed stamps. Thanks rockmygypsysoul!
-A bullet casing keychain for my boyfriend.
-A few initial keychains: L, G, S, S, K, S, ... I have a lot of friends whose name starts with S. Thanks texscrapper!
NEW Gagsden flag tshirt. Yellow shirt. Size adult L.
NEW Homemade jams or jellies. We really love black raspberry, but didn't make any this year. We already have an abundance of apple butter, blackberry jam, and peach butter.
NEW Something manly with the phrase "angry whopper" on it. It's an inside joke. Could be a keychain, tshirt (adult L), mug, plate, etc. For a 24 year old work-obsessed man.

Nothing like waiting until the last minute...  Huh

______________ will be done in time. ______________ is time-consuming, but will not be rushed.

I will not be "that" swapper. Everything's half started... it just needs finished. Extras are done! But they don't count.

Last week I received two lovely packages and am now (finally!) getting pictures up!

From Momof2! some lovely soaps --

Such a cool scent combination Smiley I will be keeping 2 bars of these, and the rest are going to aunts and cousins

And she wrapped each bar in different cute paper--

From rockmygypsysoul, handmade stamps --

I already tried them out! The two large stamps are double-sided, and not pictured are a squirrel and a corgi.

Very cool.

Thanks again, both of you! These will be great gifts!

I have not made as much progress as I'd like in the last week... I need to go to the store and buy more time. Does anybody know where they sell that? Maybe I'll have to make my own. . .

Last day of work tomorrow, so I'll be good to go after that.

Wow such awesome stuff! Great job everybody!

I had a full-out crafting day today. Just finished packaging goodies for underthemountain and texscrapper! One more to go, and then I'm all caught up again Smiley

I'll be finishing all of my claims this weekend (and hopefully my project for the Secret Santa swap, too!) and mailing Tuesday.

My account here is being finicky again about uploading pictures. I'll try again tomorrow. I received some wonderful felt food to show off!

Edited for pictures!
Look how awesome these are! My cousin's sons are going to go crazy for the hot dog and the egg! How cute!
